  1. We're currently on NCL Getaway and staying in the Haven.

Has anyone else noticed the lack of bar service in the Haven courtyard and sun decks? We had to track a server to get us a drink. With no outdoor bar, toweling off and putting a shirt on everytime to go get a drink inside isn't working.

  2. Sorry, I mean that the extra fee would be from your credit card company not the cruise line... It's like if you buy something in the USA with your CDN credit card, you will be charged a processing fee of 2-3% as well as their conversion fee.

Did you see anything on your CC?

No extra fee charged by the cruise line or by the CC company. Just paid the exchange rate.

My card is with CIBC if that helps too.

  3. The only issue that I've seen on our Feb 24th cruise on the Seaside was that some YC passenger's didn't know how to use their YC card properly to call the elevator resulting in the elevator sitting unusable for several moments until the elevator resets itself. Also, on a couple occasions, the YC passenger(s) didn't get in the right called elevator, again resulting in the elevator sitting unusable for several moments until the elevator resets itself.

  4. Not recommended as a beach day. There's no ocean access from the beach unless you like to climb over rocks. Lots of rocks.

The beach is pretty dirty around their patio (broken glass and debris).

I'll post pictures soon. Just got back from our Feb 24th cruise.

  5. Just finished our Feb 24th-March 3rd Seaside cruise. There is an odor, though mostly faint through the inside public decks including outside the theatre, and shopping district. We had a YC deluxe room and the last nights or early morning hours, the smell drifted in our room. It didn't last long.

The strongest odor came from the Aqua Jungle area. It's quite potent at the lower levels where the big bucket drops and around the base of the slides.

  6. Just got off the Seaside yesterday. Though we did use the app to reserve our seats for the shows, it wasn't needed. There was no one to scan your card to verify your reservation. We did attend the later timed shows 9pm and on.

  7. The description on MSC website reads:

    Grand Suite

1 bedroom/1 bathroom: a queen bed, a double sofa bed and a pullman bed to accommodate up to 5 guests. Which I count can sleep 5 people.

    or

2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms: a queen bed in bedroom 1, two single beds in bedroom 2, and a pullman bed for up to 5 guest. Which I count can sleep 5 people too.
