I've sailed both within the last 3 years, and I am actually going on Vista again in a few days time. Liberty was very nice, but Vista feels bigger to me even though it isn't. It also depends on what you want to do on the cruise. Liberty is prettier to look at, but Vista is more fun to be on.

I am really disappointed to see the new menu. Half those foods don't even look like breakfast foods. I'm going to miss my avocado toast, and broken egg sandwich. I really looked forward to those when I cruised with Carnival.
I am probably being picky, but the new menu doesn't look appetizing to me. I just don't fancy a burger or pasta at 9am in the morning.

Appreciate you posting the menus. I'm going on Vista for the 2nd time in a couple of weeks!
Little note, my wife and I stay in the spa cabins. I know they are more expensive than the regular Balconies, but I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the spa. Not only do you get a much quieter hot tub that is bigger than the hot tubs outside, but you also get two saunas, two steam rooms, rain showers that come with scented water, and there is a lovely relaxation room where you can get teas. Plus a discount on the actual spa services! I also love how quiet it is up there, and how easy it is to get to the serenity bar. I've gone on quite a few cruisers, and after getting the spa cabins, I am not going back.

Breeze is very nice. I went on it last year and loved it.

Go with the Breeze. I was on that a few months ago and loved it. Lots of areas for kids, but still plenty for the adults. It's also pretty new and you can see that.

it was on the first sea-day - we went to that newbie cruiser show in the big auditorium and they had a lot of drawings for things. We were shocked as we generally never win anything lol.
I just looked - it was Maya Key - the buffet lunch was included and we got to go in the cage with the monkeys and get pictures with them and we mostly just laid in beach chairs in the shade and watched the ocean lol.
Seems like you had good weather. I did this excursion and it was pretty windy, and not very warm out, so we weren't able to lay out on the beach. I also disliked how early the excursion started. There was no reason to be on that beach at 9am ship time.
The island is cool, but when the weather isn't great, it gets boring very fast.

I did a new years cruise last year, and I won't be doing that again. The amount of people on the cruise was ridiculous. Long lines for everything every night. Casino always had waits for anything I wanted to play. There were long lines for the water slides. Every show was completely packed and you have to get there an hour early to reserve a seat.
On new years eve people were able to reserve seats all around the ship which was crazy to me. My wife and I tried to find a spot to sit to watch the show, but everything was reserved. Turns out you could pay to reserve a chair. I didn't know that. So we ended up spending new years eve in our room just because there was no where to go for us.

I am going on a cruise in a few months with 5 guys. We want to do a private beach excursions. I've done Mr. Sanchos and it was fun, but I didn't like how I wasn't guaranteed a table. I got there and was forced to share a table with a random couple. I don't want to risk that with 5 guys.
Any suggestions on where to go?

why would you waste the Belvedere? No way you tell the difference, just to "get your moneys worth" it's not a contest. Right or wrong, I completely agree with the bartender, although he is probably wrong
Belvedere seems to go down a bit smoother. It might all be in my head, but I prefer Belvedere when I drink vodka.
Besides I had the drink package and I felt like I should be able to order what I wanted. I wasn't asking him to change the drink. It was literally just substituting plain absolute for plain Belvedere. I was really taken back when he refused to do it.

I was on the carnival breeze two weeks ago and I ordered a sex on the beach at the red frog pub. I asked for the bartender to use Belvedere instead of absolut. He told me that was not allowed. I had the cheers package. I told him just switch the vodkas and he told me no. He made me the drink without vodka, and then gave me a shot of belvedere and told me I had to pour it in myself.
Is this right?

I was on this cruise on october 15th so one week before you. I noticed the back of the ship had a really bad smell. Floors 3, 4, & 5 all had the rotten egg smell. It made the piano bar pretty unpleasant.
All in all though, I really enjoyed the Breeze. I was in the front of the ship. It was quiet most nights except for the night they did the party at 11:30pm. The ship is big, but it didn't feel difficult to walk around, and rarely was it super crowded in areas. The buffet is crowded on every single ship the first day when you board. I also had to wait 20 minutes for food. That is just how it is.
Why did you miss the grand cayman port? I did the kayak then boat to stingray city and it was awesome. If you get a chance, I really recommend the grand cayman. It was my favorite stop.

Hey Everyone,
I am going on the vista this saturday, and I am wondering if I can watch soccer anywhere on the ship specifically games on sbcsn? My favorite team is playing sunday morning and I would love to be able to watch. I figure the rooms won't have that channel, but what about the sports bar?
