My husband will be celebrating a birthday on our cruise. I would love to have a birthday banner up for him. Looking at the rules it seems like they have basically made it impossible for us to do anything like that ourselves. I mean, I have seen lots of videos where people put magnetic clips with cruise papers on the walls for organization, but I worried any banner might not be ok.
I would just order the room decor package, but it is expensive and I really just want the banner as the beach towel and photo frame aren't really his thing.
If I do put something up and they don't like it, what happens? Do they just take it down?

Ship -Freedom
Deck - 2
Stateroom # - 2290
Stateroom Category – 4C
Starboard or Port Side - Port
Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Mostly. It was under the lobby, but it was only audible one night. The elevators are close, but we didn't get any extra noise from that.
Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No.
Any specific problems with this cabin? - No.
Any other comments? - The room is next to a cleaning closet, which I think actually made it quieter. We never heard any of our neighbors at all though.

I just got back from my first cruise about a month ago, and I was kind of freaked out before I went. I shouldn't have been freaked out. They are there to make sure you have an amazing time and help you in any way possible --the employees go out of their way to help you and make sure you have a good experience on board. If you have questions just ask.
Did you book your excursions through Carnival? We found the informational session about excursions on the first full day really helpful (you'll find the information about when and where it is in the Fun TImes pamphlet left in your room on the first night. It sounded like it might be mostly about excursions we could book, but there was also a lot of general information that made us feel much more relaxed and like we knew what we were doing. We didn't go to any of the daily meetings about excursions though. We only had one day when we didn't have ANY time to do some shopping, and we went on an exceptionally long excursion, so you are probably fine.
The first day the ship felt crowded, but after that the crowds thinned. I think everyone kind of calmed down and spread out around the ship. Your Sail and Sign card is your lifeline. We both made a practice of bringing ours with, which was good because one night I forgot mine and my friend had hers so we weren't locked out. We had waterproof pouches for our valuables on our beach day, and they worked VERY well, but if you use them make sure they are good ones.

I was just on Carnival a month ago, and it was free, except for certain items as some have stated. One thing I found a little strange was that the person bringing the food didn't stay for a tip one day when I didn't have the tip ready (he brought breakfast earlier than requested and we weren't prepared). But as far as I know there wasn't a charge.
Birthday Banner

I was thinking it might be prohibited because of the rules on this page: https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3256/~/decorating-your-stateroom-door-and-stateroom
I hope I am misinterpreting though. I'd really like to do a birthday banner on the wall inside our room.
