No. There is zero business case for holding back spots for onboard booking. The cruise line maximizes revenue by selling every seat on an excursion. That being said, there may be last minute cancellations, but don't count on any.
Year ago, they used to because not everyone was able to book online, thus why I ask.

We are looking to book an excursion on an upcoming cruise, but it is showing sold out online. Does RC still hold back some to book while on board?

We were just on the Odyssey over NYE and I found that the food had improved in the last 9 months. Much more variety in the WJ and better quality. While we did not eat in the dining room we had family that did and they said the same thing. Also had friends on board the Wonder over NYE and they agreed they had seen a improvement.
Is it back to pre covid times, probably not but for me anyway it has improved post covid.
We were on Odyssey for Christmas and 100% agree. The WJ was one of the best ones that I have experienced on any ship.

If anyone is tracking these....
J.J. Hajeong is on Ovation now.
Bogdan Leonvych is on Odyssey. (This guy is horrible!)

We just got off Odyssey as well and absolutely loved it.
Our only complaint really was the entertainment. They had karaoke all over the place in several venues, which does not appeal to us personally, while many love it. I feel the Music Hall should have had more live music in the evening, instead of only late night. The Music Hall constantly had games, trivia style things and karaoke. And this was the mildest Schooners bar that I have ever seen. On all other ships, its loud and fun and packed. Not on this cruise.
Aside from that, this ship was clean, beautiful and amazing. Food was great and so was the service. It is our new favorite! Can't wait to sail on her again!

So sorry you are unwell, hope you feel better soon. Did you notice if the casino is non smoking?
The main casino on Deck 7 is non-smoking. They have a small room on Deck 8, with about 18 slot machine, next to the Sports Bar, where smokers can play. No table games though. There are also quite a few slots in the Sports Bar.

There are several different arcade games, along with the virtual machines. Seashore has more arcade games than Seaside.

Was on Seaside twice last month and booked Bella Interior Guarantee and was upgraded to a balcony.
Going on Seashore next month, booked Bella Interior Guarantee again, and was upgrade to a balcony once again.

Pure speculation, yet it's been theorized Jason Liberty was behind all the X cutbacks as he was a former CFO and eliminated the "CEO" title from X after LLP left
Historically, when a CFO becomes CEO, you see many changes for the worse, as they are only looking at the bottom line. Great for short term profit, but poor for long term business models. Someone who has a financial AND operations background, is a better fit in my opinion.

I think it is a positive step for them to be putting classics back in its own section…seems like they are trying to make it seem like they are listening…
Agreed! Much better than what Jason Liberty is doing over at RC.

How long after you disembark does it take to receive the survey from MSC?
We got off a week ago and still have not seen one. I would like to fill this out while it is fresh in my mind.
Thank you.

Great to hear
Doing same in 10 days
Did the ship feel crowded?
Thanks
No, not really. The only BIG crowds that I experienced were a few times in the buffet and the atrium parties. Aside from that, it wasn't bad at all.

I just returned from 3 nights on the MSC Seaside. This was my first time sailing with MSC and overall I have to say that I was extremely impressed, especially for the price. I felt the entertainment was great, the food was good and the service was great as well. There was plenty to do and always seemed to have something going on. Cheaper than Carnival, but a way better experience in my opinion. I went into this with low expectations, but they far exceeded them. I will definitely sail MSC again.
Just wanted to share my opinion with everyone.

We were really wanting to sail on Beyond, but the dates do not work for us, but the Apex dates do.
How do these two compare? Food, Service, Shows, etc. Would we be just as happy on Apex?
Any help and opinions are appreciated. Thank you.

Anyone?

I will be sailing on the MSC Seaside soon and was wondering what restaurants are available for the Diamond specialty benefit?
Thank you!

Thank you all.

What documents, from MSC, do I need to bring with me. This will be my first time sailing with them and just want to be sure.
I will have my passport of course.
Thank you.

Does anyone know is MSC price matches after final payment?
Thank you in advance.

I may be wrong, but, I think the UTPP allows you to block it up to 3 times without a $100 fine? 🤷♂️
Exactly... but wait for the Black Friday sale on this one. 😂

I am purchasing the UTAP on my next cruise (Unlimited Towel Animal Package). Waiting on the prices, but I may opt for the UTPP and the UEUP packages as well (Unlimited Toilet Paper Package and Unlimited Elevator Use Package).

No ... they would not . You seem to think everyone eating it now will continue to do so . I believe the good majority will just keep on walkin by ,and those that will pay for it will definitely frequent the establishment a lot less !
JMHO
Cheers
Good point... and I would agree.
Honestly, I wouldn't even bother cruising with Royal if this were to ever happen.

If they were to charge for pizza, imagine what it would do to the lines, that are already long. They would have to swipe your card and have everyone sign their receipt before going on to the next customer. Lines would triple in size, if not more.
For those who have cruised Carnival, you could go to the main dining room faster than you could get pizza, if they were to start charging. They have the longest pizza lines in the industry.
Still extremely disheartening that they are even asking this on a survey. And whoever approved this to be a survey question to begin with should be fired. Pure GREED!

If Royal becomes so damn greedy, that they start charging for pizza, I’m done with them! I’ll cruise on Carnival before I deal with this BS! Absolutely disgusting that they are even asking this of guests! Bean counter running the company!

Unfortunately, as long as people are still paying these prices, they will keep charging them.
