  1. My fiancé and I don't have the patients for lines either. We have never found a problem on Oasis class ships. Obviously we avoid windjammer during the lunch rush and just go an hour later. We typically arrive at shows 20 mins early just because they give your reservation away if you aren't there (I think it's 10 mins before). When we had my time dining, we made reservations for earlier seatings around 530/6pm just as personal preference and we never had to wait and had the same table each night. I wouldn't worry too much. We had lines, crowds, and stress but have always really enjoyed the Oasis class ships. Happy cruising [emoji4]

  2. I was on Allure in April. I parked at the cruise terminal simply for the conscience of getting off the ship and hitting the road for an 11 hour drive [emoji30]. For the 7 day cruise it cost about $130 but I thought it was worth it for being able to drop my bags off at terminal and part right next to the ship.

  3. I was on the Allure in April the second week after they rolled out the new room service [emoji19]. Unfortunately the food quality was often subpar and took about 45 minutes to be delivered. Breakfast never arrived within the time window we requested (either 30 mins early or almost an hour late). The one afternoon that we had lunch it took 45 minutes. Almost every time we ordered the order was incomplete or just wrong altogether. Not worth the $7.95 in my opinion.

  4. I drive from Charlotte to Ft Lauderdale when I cruise. I can do it in about 10-11 hours depending on traffic. I always park at the cruise port ($130 for 7 day cruise) and do self disembarking to get in the car straight away and hit the road. Costs too much to fly when I can do the drive in one day. Last cruise I disembarked and in the car by 7am and home by about 5pm.

  5. While technically you do not need it. I prefer to take mine as well as my drivers license for instances of emergencies. If I need to get a flight out of the port country you would need a passport. So I suppose it's up to you as you won't technically need it on the excursion just in an emergency.

  6. I also have one of the mosquito machines. These are helpful when sitting out somewhere or even to carry. Mosquitos seem to love me so I use bug spray with DEET and my machine. 550030ca0af9c93e87156df8907bb284.jpg

  7. They will definitely need the required esta (basically a visa for tourists) to get into the US prior the cruise. Once returning from the cruise back to TX they will most likely be asked to show their esta again. As it's a closed cruise they should be fine in ports it will just be entering into the US as visitors can only stay for a maximum of 90 days.

  8. I was there in April. We were able to go to the casino inside the hotel without a pass. However, we could not get to the beach without a pass. If I recall they wanted something like $35 per person for the aquarium and $70 per person for the beach! I nearly fainted on the spot. If you get a taxi to Atlantis and walk inside past some shops and restaurants you will end up at the casino. Actually won some money too! Good luck! [emoji4]

  9. I probably should have clarified that we always do express self departure. On this last cruise we were actually the first two people off the boat and through customs and therefore first people out of the parking lot. Easiest parking experience ever. [emoji4]

  10. Allure is Terminal 18. As for parking, it is directly across from the terminal. We usually drop off one persons with luggage while the other parks. As far as paying in advance, we have never been able to do this. We are just off Allure on a 7-day cruise and parking was about $120. Hope this helps!

  11. We were on the Allure April 9-16. The free movies on the dream works channel on the tv were Monsters v Aliens, MegaMind, Shrek 3, Penguins of Madagascar, How to Train your Dragon (1 & 2), and another I never figured out the name of. These were playing on respect about once a day. There was the option to pay for newer movies.
