  1. June out of Venice can be very, very expensive.

I would say about 300 days out is a good time to look. I also subscribe to a fare=watcher service and get alerts when fares drop to really low levels. Sometimes they are fare wars and other times mistake fares, and they usually go rather quickly, but it's worth looking at. We went to Paris for $430 RT from Orlando in March and leave for Rome shortly at $422.

My reco is to look daily and once you see a fare you are comfortable with book it. Airfares change constantly and it's a big game, as I am sure you know.

we live in st petersburg. so would be flying out of Tampa. which fare watcher do you use?

  2. We arranged a private tour to Alberobello and Ostuni for our upcoming port stop in Brindisi. After our tour, we plan to DIY Brindisi so I researched what's available. With a 5-yr old and teen in tow, you may be interested in Brindisi Express, a tourist train that does a 1-hour circuit around the main sites on town, with Italian gelato at the end! Decent reviews on Trip Advisor.

any chance you know if the brindisi express train runs every hour or just a set time? the website is pretty limited with information.

  5. we sailed on the Divina in May and it was outstanding service. we were so impressed that we decided to look into a mediterean cruise next choosing the msc musica in june 2018. also convincing slme family and friends to join us. I primarily chose this ship based on the itiniery, but regardless will still have a great time. a vacation/holiday is what you make of it. happy cruising 🚢🚢

  6. You'll find the Musica a much smaller ship than Divina, older too. The itinerary looks great, especially Santorini, Athens and Kotor, not to mention Venice which you should spend some time in pre or post cruise. Whether or not there will be a Meet & Mingle will depend on the level of activity of your Roll Call.

thank you so much for responding. the itinerary is fabulous and so excited.looking forward to each port. precruise we are staying in Rome for 2 days and post staying 1 night in Venice.

  8. I am in the planning stages of booking this trip for June 2018. I just sailed the divina May 20th and enjoyed it so much am willing to give it a go ahead again. At the moment I'm looking at msc musica, but also royal Caribbean rhapsody of the seas is an option. I will be sailing with at the time a 5yr old daughter and a older teen. By chance do you have any info on the kids club on musica and or what they have to offer kids? I know this is an older ship so trying to do my research so I can comit to one. Also did the hop on hop off bus take you right to the Acropolis? And is this hop on hop off public bus or more of a tourist busing to attractions? Sorry for all the questions. I've been to Athens yrs ago but we stayed there and never had to plan only for a day. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you so much 🚢🚢

  9. Thank you for responding. I honestly don't care. I'm just happy to be on vacation, but I will be traveling with my elderly mother who had never cruised before and not only are we celebrating my daughters high school graduation but this is also a memory cruise due to my dad's passing in nov. So I know she will want to sit here and take it all in etc....wonder if they will switch us?
