It depends.
Would you prefer to look at the ocean or at a thousand other passengers?
Look at thousands of other passengers?
Really.
Balcony with a view of the ocean probably cannot be beaten but for the prices that are often on offer a Central Park stateroom is superb value and so very peaceful.

Serious question, would it make a difference if you learned that the porter's were paid a wage of 80,000 pounds? I ask because that is the situation in the states. The porter's all are part of the longshoreman union and their average wage is over $100,000.
Serious answer.
It wouldn't make any difference at all.

I wouldn't accept the offer as I don't honestly believe it's much of a deal.

Well I'm British but always tip the people handling our suite cases who work extremely hard.
We've probably all paid a great amount of money for the vacation and a couple of euros extra here and there showing people a little kindness isn't enough to ruin our cruise.

Lucky enough to have cruised on them both loved each one but prefer HOTS.

A very nice solarium with the solarium Bistro restaurant with both seats inside and out.

A B Parking if you are looking to park at the port is excellent and you drop your car about a two minute walk from the terminal entrance.
You can drop off your bags and then go and park should you wish.
However there are a few hotels near the port that offer park and stay deals with travel to the port included.

Yes well said sr5242 it's your decision if that's what makes you feel good you should go for it.

I like the look of the new sports bar think it's an excellent addition and look forward to spending some time and money in there especially on the wings.

If I was happy with the price I would book and and look out for price drops.

Waking up in the morning and walking out to a lovely new view.

Yes it looks like nearly all the prices have been increased to allow for the drinks packages one or two are decent deals but you really have to hunt for them.
Typical RCI.
Think we will book MSC.
-
May be worth a look there are some good deals with drinks package included

We had a refrigerator in our ocean view cabin when sailing on Majesty of the Seas.

I really like staterooms and think they are excellent value.
Preference is for deck eight.
-
We arrived at the terminal about 10.40 and were on board by 11.15

I have sailed both and enjoyed them equally.
Fort Lauderdale port that much easier to get to than Port Canaveral if flying in.
Personal preference was for Mammia Mia on Allure.
If pushed I would slightly favour Allure.

If you are into sightseeing March and April really are good months to cruise.
Can usually get by with short sleeves and shorts.
Far less people around.

Can confirm it was on Anthem a few weeks ago.

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn and The Grand Harbour.
If you can snag a good rate the Grand Harbour would be our families preferred hotel.
We have walked to the terminal takes about 8 to 10 minutes and you do cross the road but it really is never a major problem as you just use the zebra crossing.
We have also taken a taxi and it was £6.00.
The Holiday Inn would usually be a cheaper option but is absolutely fine and is about a five minute walk to the terminal.
Formal nights - does everyone do it?

I recently disembarked IOTS sailing from Southampton to the Canary Islands.
In the past my limited experience of three previous cruises on her there were lots more tuxedo and lounge suit wearing gentlemen plus nice evening dresses for ladies but on this particular cruise there were definitely not so many maybe a quarter at best.
This was commented on by a number of other cruises.
So I’m thinking maybe it’s a time of year and age of the passengers related thing.
