  1.

Yes, a ferry ride is the quickest way to get from the Dockyard to Hamilton, travel time, 20 minutes vs 60 minutes by bus.

The church is located about a ½ mile from the ferry terminal. Take a right onto Front St after leaving the ferry terminal and take the second left (Burnaby St).

To see the original Swizzle Inn, take the ferry to Hamilton and walk to the bus terminal on Church St. Board a route #1, #3, #10, or #11 bus. They all go by SI. To return to the cruise ship, just retrace your steps.

    Thank you for your assistance!

  2. Hello,

Will be traveling with my Dad and arriving in Bermuda on Thursday at 1PM and leaving Bermuda Friday at 5PM first week of May. Would like to go into Hamilton and make a visit at the Cathedral of St. Theresa. Would you recommend taking the ferry over to Hamilton? And how much of a walk would it be from the ferry? Also would like to experience taking the bus while in Bermuda and possibly seeing the beautiful landscape and meeting local residents. Perhaps stopping at the Swizzle Inn. Can anyone recommend what bus to take from the pier?

  3. You can just get off the ship and go to the dispatcher to get transportation to Newark Penn Station.

What date would this be and are you trying to make a train? What were you quoted as a price?

I did get an e-mail confirmation from EXPRESS Limo Service shortly after I posted this message. The cost is $50.80 which includes tax and tips. I'm trying to find out more of this company but haven't been able to access recent reviews on-line. Hoping that someone reading this will know about the reliability of the company. It is located in East Brunswick NJ.

I will be taking Greyhound Bus back to South Jersey early afternoon and it is a Sunday in May.

You mention getting off the ship and going to the dispatcher...where would I find the dispatcher ?

  4. The current promotion that Celebrity is offering has a beverage package that I may consider in lieu of the onboard credit.

How does the beverage package work for a solo?

I apologize if this question has been asked on a previous thread.

I am considering a 5 day cruise in April 2014 and booking a oceanview cabin.

  5. Hi Bernadette- Randy and I are right next to you in 3132. However, if X offers us an upgrade, we just might take it. A balcony for only $100 more would be quite a treat for us! Actually, since we usually sail in insides, having a porthole (small or very large) is a treat LOL! I check X's website frequently; the best offer so far was a balcony for $400 more (too dear for us). Lynn

    Hi Lynn,

Wow, what a coincidence! Maybe you should call Celebrity or ask your TA to call them. My TA called Celebrity this week and was quoted another $100 for a balcony. As I travel solo, most situations I get an inside unless there is a special deal for a balcony. I booked this cruise back in February which is early for me (usually I wait to a month or two before the cruise) and always get the insurance as I have elderly parents and a married daughter and grandsons and want to be available in case of an emergency. I had a balcony on Celebrity's Century and only used it twice for breakfast when I had a conceirge cabin. I haven't booked my airfare yet and the cost has skyrocketed (should have booked when the airfare was $180 for a non-stop back to Phila). Now that $100 will go toward airfare!!

  6. I have booked cabin 3130 on Celebrity's Summit for an upcoming cruise in October. The prices have come down since full payment and my TA contacted Celebrity today to see if I would be entitled to an upgrade. Celebrity stated that I could have a mid-ship balcony for $100 more.

I've decided to stay in the 3130 cabin for the ease of being centrally located and the newness of these cabins (perhaps less wear). Has anyone stayed recently in this cabin? I'm looking forward to that big window!

  7. :);)

Hope some of you can take advantage of the Happy Hour Pricing that will be in effect 8/13 to 8/14 and on 8/12 to Crown & Anchor Members.

    Allure, 8/25, 9/1 and 9/22 sailings 110% single supplement

    Oasis, 8/24, 8/31 and 9/21 sailings 110% single supplement

If I lived in Florida, I would be booking but have a repo cruise booked in October.

  8. Hi..getting ready to book 6 day cruise from Bayonne on 10/24 to San Juan (repositioning cruise). Itinerary includes 2 days in Bermuda and 1 day in St. Thomas. Price quoted for solo on 2A cabin is $774.11. Price quote for Cat 7 Oceanview is $574.01. Thinking of the balcony cabin as it is on deck 7. Checked airfare rates home and rate is $187. which is non-stop.

  9. I am sad to inform everyone that knew NancyChgo that she has passed into a better world at 5:30 this morning. I have lost a best friend/cruising buddy. Although her health was deteriorating in the past few months, she kept trudging on with working and took her last cruise on Century the beginning of this month. She will be sorely missed.:(

I'm sending heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Nancy's friends and family. Nancy was on my Century cruise on 5/3 and I was fortunate to meet her at the Cruise Critic party. See inspired many on this cruise critic board.
