You are responsible for the covid testing 48 hours before the land tour starts. NCL is responsible for the covid testing before embarkation.

I just started my land tour with NCL. The cruise director informed us that we can have one bag for the land tour and place another suitcase in storage until the night before we get on the cruise ship. This isn't the only misinformation I received from NCL.

I am wondering if anyone knows the approximate size of the souvenir thermal mug that comes with the soda package. Thank you for the assistance.

I spoke with NCL regarding the luggage. The luggage stays with us during the land tour, they don't send any ahead to the ship. The stated the reason is they don't have a way to store it.

I am on the 14 day southbound land and sea tour, starting the land tour on 10th of July then boarding NCL Jewel on 16th of July. I have received my itinerary already. The hotels that NCL assigned for my land tour are the Bear Lodge in Fairbanks, Denali Park Village in Denali, Anchorage Hilton in Anchorage, and Best Western Bidarka Inn in Homer. Enjoy your cruise!

We called the CBSA and was told it would be up to the discretion of the agent at the time of entry into Canada. I guess we will find out when we get to the ship.

I have a family member that just received a Class C misdemeanor for talking on a cell phone in a school zone. We are leaving for an Alaska cruise ending in Vancouver. Does anyone know if she will have problems entering Canada with a misdemeanor?

Thank you for the clarification on going through Customs. Usually how much time do you need to allowed for connecting flights if flying from Vancouver, B.C. and connecting in the U.S.?

Thank you for all the suggestions. Since I am traveling alone; I want to find the easiest, less stressful way of getting home. I know I will have to go through customs in Canada and then again in the U.S. Since I will have to recheck my baggage going through customs if I connect in Chicago, I am leaning towards the Toronto connection. Catching the shuttle to go to Seattle, then flying SW to Nashville is a great idea but flying directly out of Vancouver is more convenient for me.

Thank you. I will take your suggestions and go through Toronto.

I am planning on traveling from Vancouver, Canada to Nashville this summer. I am trying to find the easiest, least stressful, airport to go through the security and customs process. My choices are AirCanada, connecting in Toronto with a 2 hour layover or American, connecting in Chicago with a 5 hour layover. Prices are about the same. I read that with AirCanada you do not have to recheck your luggage in Toronto through customs. I also posted this on Cruiseair board so hopefully I can get some suggestions please.

Thank you for the review. My Mom and sister will be traveling with me on the Jewel in July. They both have mobility issues and we will be renting 1 wheelchair. I was worried about the size of the room but your review has helped answer some of my questions. I am very interested in pictures of the room if you can post them please. Thank you again.

My family and I are doing the land/sea tour with Norweigan. Our land tour starts July 10, 2018 and then we board the Norwegian Jewel on July 16, 2018.

I am also researching information for the 14 day southbound Alaska land/sea tour with NCL for July 2018. I will be traveling with my mother and sister. I was wondering about what hotels NCL usually stay at, restaurants that are close to the hotels, what kind of prices I am looking at for the restaurants, what is usually on the itinerary and how crowded the land tour part is with NCL.
Land and Sea - Alaska

I did the land and sea tour this past June. The 2 things that I didn't like was the fast pace of the land tour and the Anchorage tour stop. I would recommend the land tour before the cruise so you can rest and relax after the land tour. Anchorage is an overnight stay in the middle of downtown with a 10 to 15 minute walk to a restaurant. Downtown Anchorage is very sketchy. I didn't go to any restaurants because I didn't feel safe. I loved visiting Homer and Denali. As for lodging, NCL uses Bear Lodge in Fairbanks and Denali Park Village.
