The last wine list that I looked at via this site had a Mionetto Prosecco at $10. None of the champagnes was listed as by the glass. I don't know how up to date that was.
-
There is a thread that has a link to the wine list. There are quite a few wines by the glass.

We always do the Princess transfer. If the times are short, I feel much more secure knowing they have my name and flight # on their list. They will get you to the ship on time. Unexpected traffic issues involving your taxi can ruin your trip.

You should join the Cruise Critic group for your cruise. They usually have a lot of organized activities like card games, slot pulls, book discussions, etc.

I'm really enjoying your posts. We had hoped to be on your cruise but health issues made us delay until next spring on the Regal. I do prefer west-bound TA's but love the Regal so I'm already looking forward to it.

I haven't cruised with Viking Ocean yet but for the Viking River cruises payment is due right after booking. It's probably true.

We always chose late traditional dining with a large table. After a few times of having only 2 table-mates we tried select (or whatever the cruise line calls it). We love it. Some nights we're tired and don't want to make small talk and ask for a table for 2, other nights we opt for a full table. On our last Celebrity cruise we had many of the same table mates on different nights in different combinations. If eating at approximately the same time, you also get the same servers most of the time. And we have never waited more than a minute or 2 for a table on Celebrity or Princess.

Last month on the Regal we had the free specialty dinner. A card was in our cabin that indicated it would be Sabitini's but had no date or time. On the second day I called to make a reservation for Crown Grill because I knew the freebie was good at either. The person on the phone said "Oh you were supposed to go to Sabitini's YESTERDAY" After some discussion she let us use it at Crown Grill. This was our 3rd Princess cruise and we only received the coupon book on the first one.

Fortunately this isn't something I'll have to worry about on:loudcry: my 4/15 cruise because my Blackhawks DIDN'T EVEN MAKE THE STUPID PLAY-OFFS.

Maybe they hired some former "X" web site programmers. :p
/We really need a like button. But this one I LOVE,

We took Celebrity for an Alaska cruise/tour but I assume the mechanics are similar. Ours was about 5 days on land. For the land portion we took 1 suitcase for the 2 of us. The other (with dressy clothes, better shoes, etc.) was taken directly to the ship and we didn't have to fool with it on the land portion. We never had to dress for dinner on the land portion so only needed jeans, sweat shirts, etc. as well as pajamas and toiletries.

So much depends on when you are booking because the prices go up and down. In 2016 we did the spring TA on the Regal and paid $1699 pp for a regular balcony (with $600 OBC) We're doing the exact same cruise this year for $1140 pp for a deluxe balcony. When we booked it, the price was $2249 pp (included sip and sail). When the price came down, we gave up the s & s and got $600 OBC. So originally the cruse was more than it was 2 years ago but it ended up much less.
-
We were able to switch to a United flight that is non-stop but had to pay $39 pp extra.

I had a non-stop flight (Chicago to Ft. L) on AA booked for 4/15. It was a great price and we had business class seats. Today I was just looking at my cruise personalizer. The flight was changed from 8:30 am to 5:30 am and now stops in Charlotte with 40 minutes between flights. No notification. Panic call to my TA. Still waiting for an answer. If we miss the connection, we miss the cruise. It's a TA with no ports for 7 or 8 days. I used to love ez-air but am now having real doubts.

We love both, are elite with X and doing our 3rd Princess cruise in April. Celebrity has escargot on their every night menu (and DH orders it every night); have not seen it on Princess.
One very important difference is the web-sites. Princess is very user friendly, X is TERRIBLE

Thank you so much. I LOVED your commentary as well as your pictures.

How do I get on the Regal 15 April to Copenhagen board? I seem to end up on St Petersburg's board?
I think they combined all the variations of the cruise, 14 days, 17 days, 21 days, 28 days. So that's the one.

Question about the Crab Shack. My husband likes seafood but I don't. If I were to go there with him is there anything I could eat? Like chicken or pasta dishes without seafood? Thanks.

You could get food from the buffet. They have wonderful choices in the evening. I assume they would sell your husband a ticket and you could still sit with him. Tell them you're allergic to seafood.

On my first cruise in 1968 (HAL Rotterdam) you approached the pool man for a lounger. He brought you to one with a towel and a blanket. I think a tip was involved. There was no self seating. Much less casual in those days.

We love both as each has advantages and disadvantages. But the Celebrity website really is the WORST.

Oh, is that what the netting is for? They should have posted a sign.
I thought we were having American Ninja training going on, what with the cargo netting. It was very uncomfortable to lie on top of the netting and have the water splash up, so I gave up after about five minutes.
:D You should have taken a selfie.

Join your roll call. Someone will probably organize card games, a slot pull, cabin crawl, etc.
I love sea days, usually sign up for things and then can't even fit them in because I'm so busy doing "nothing".

I booked the 4/15 Regal TA months ago under the Sip n Sail promo. Was so happy to have the beverage package and not unhappy with the price for a deluxe balcony. A few days ago I was at the website and saw that prices had really dropped. I was able to rebook my same room at half the price and get $300 OBC pp and a specialty dining in exchange for the beverage package. I'm still in shock.

Thanks so much for replying. It's a lot of pennies...... so it's great to get points of view. Can I just check if you can take drinks back to your cabin? My husband and I like to go back a chill out sometimes. :D
Yes you can take drinks back to your cabin.

I got fcc on 6/1 and refund on 6/4. I had no contact with Princess since they cancelled in mid-March for the 4/19 cruise. I was giving them 90 days.
