My husband, 14 year old son and I will be staying in Suite 1102 in July 2020. Our cabin is in the front and I noticed on the deck plans that the Windjammer is at the back of the ship. It appears we can walk all the way back from our room but I’m wondering if we would have to go through the solarium. I read it is adult only so obviously my 14 year old will not be able to pass through. Any suggestions or help will be appreciated.

I know it can be scary but going alone isn’t such a terrible thing. I had a friend bail out on me about 20 years ago and I ended up going alone. It was a carnival cruise and I ended up meeting my now husband on that ship. Love interests aside, I did meet another girl on the first day who was in the same situation as I was. To this day we still remain in contact. I’m an avid reader so I didn’t mind going solo. Bring lots of books and maybe have yourself seated at a mixed table for dinner times. People are usually very friendly when they’re on vacation. Best of luck and I hope you have a great time.

Did you happen to get a look at the grand suites? Is the television in the middle of the room like on the Horizon? They have it where it swivels from the main bed to the couch. I’m not crazy about that set up because not everyone can see the TV in the evening when lying down in their bed. I know it’s trivial but it just bugs me.

They will fleet wide soon according to JH.
Josh Hocum? Just started watching his vlogs and after cruising on six Carnival cruises, I have to agree that their desserts could use improvement.

I booked for June 2019 out of New York.

Wow! What a small world. I’m in Brook Hollow directly across from the hospital.

Thanks so much for the responses. That is what I figured. We always book online but my husband thought we could get something extra if I booked through our carnival rep.

My husband and I have sailed on Carnival about six times. We are looking to book another cruise and are wondering if it is possible to negotiate perks such as specialty dining, WiFi or drinks with the Carnival sales rep? Has anyone attempted this in the past? If so what were your results?

Thank you for the response. He is an only child and very quiet. He will definitely not be hanging around. I’m just hoping his brief presence doesn’t upset anyone.
