Hello! Due to our flight schedule, we have 3 full days to fill pre and post cruise. We will visit Kennedy Space Centre one day, which leaves 2 days to fill.

There does not seem to be much on offer in the area, the Breward Zoo is a possibility I guess 🙃

We are staying in Cocoa Beach for 2 days, but I need to book 1 night for our last day, should I stick with Cocoa Beach or is going down near Melbourne area nice, it looks a bit quiet (we fly out of Melbourne)?

It was a set $4 per person each way.

we chatted to one of the officials, he said the port charge them $2 now per person instead of $1 pre Covid, so that’s why it’s gone up.

we stopped just up from the lighthouse on blue cay, just set up with our little beach tent and chilled in front and to the side of a bar/sunbed area and it was nice and peaceful

We just got charged $4 pp from port to Blue Cay, seems a lot for 10 minute ride 😵‍💫

Thank you, I did find that after posting. Strange that it does not say that on the CDC website.

I've now bought tests from DocHQ (arriving in the post) with a videolink appointment for the day before we fly, it has great reviews and cost us £77 for 4 people.

So, I was understanding that we need a PCR (expensive) or a Lateral Flow (cheaper), and assume that it needs to be done either in a private test centre or at home by videolink to a test centre.

I have scanned the CDC (Centres for Disease Control and Prevention) website which is linked from Gov.com, and I cannot find anywhere which stipilates that the test has to be verified by an approved person/centre.

So does that mean we can do the at home test like this one from Randox?

My wife and I got tested there today. Arrived at ~8.40AM, got "signed in" and filled out a web form with name, DOB etc. from my phone. We waited around 15 minutes (there were approximately 10 other persons waiting ahead of us, mostly couples presumably getting tested for a Saturday or Sunday cruise/flight), then got called in, antigen tests taken on both of us VERY gently (ie. not very far into the nostril), printed negative results received after another ~15 minutes. Is there such things as NCL cocktail menus? I have struggled with other Cruise Lines, many don't have a printed menu from which you can peruse, and if there is one it is a limited list. You see the bar tender carrying interesting drinks to other tables and wonder what they are as they are not on the list.

I would like to make full use of the free drinks and try lots of different cocktails! 😵‍💫 🤕 🤣

I'm not in the UK, but from what I understand gratuities for Free at Sea are usually included when booking in the UK.  They are not included when booking in the US.  I'm not sure about other locations.

I was talking on the phone to an NCL representative, we are a cabin of 3 adults, (2 parents and 1 adult child), I asked if we had the free drink package would we have to purchase it for my daughter and was told, absolutely not.

Also I asked if we had to pay gratuities on the drinks package and was told, no you don't pay gratuities on the Free at Sea drinks package.

I hope she has her facts correct....?

Thinking of booking 26/9/21 but having same worries.

I have had one of the AstraZeneca vaccines on the list of batches that are not recognised by Italy for the EU Covid Passport. If I get a COVID negative test before travelling, will I still be able to make the journey? I don't want to be turned away and not able to go on the cruise!

Just to let you all know.

We got a taxi right outside the port, we were messed about by one mini bus driver who had us all sitting there like lemons waiting to go. I think he was being greedy waiting to fill the bus, but not even acknowledging us. So I took it about myself to get off, and everyone else followed and we got a private taxi for the same amount.

Even the port "Taxi organiser" lady was annoyed with him and said he is always a rude man.

We arranged a collection time for after the falls and a relax at the beach. Sure enough he was there waiting for us, and if I remember correctly we did not pay him until the return trip.
