  1. Hello!

I have a question re: age to be able to secure a cabin.  My TA has our rooms booked me and DD in one room and DS and hubby in another stating one has to be 25 years of age to have a room registered under them.   Wanted to add some friends so book another cabin but TA is saying would not be able to do so if they are both 18?  Even if I tied it to my reservation?   Any insight is appreciated.    Also trying to see if the inside cabin we booked for the kids may be able to convert to a triple in the event only 1 friend comes along.   IS there  a way to look up which rooms can go from double occupancy to triple?

Thanks all!   These boards have been very helpful in planning!

  2. I conatacted Captain Marvin's recommended by these boards, google them and you will see they do have a tour combining the two.   They were very responsive via email and phone calls.   Going in a few weeks, so can't comment on how the actual tour was only the pre crusing communication.

  3. Hello,

Hoping someone can help me!   THese boards have been quite helpful!    We are going to be in Jamaica on 7/4/19 and it looks like we are the only ship in Jamaica that day!   Only one in Falmouth and did not see any listed for Ocho Rios or Montego Bay when looking at the Port calendar.

I wanted to avoid taking a shore excursion with the cruise line looking at the pictures and the mobs of people but now thinking if we are the only cruise ship in Jamaica that day it might not be that bad?    I looked to book Cool Dave based on recommendation here but it would be $350 for the van alone!   That's either $37 or $50 pp depending if all of our group does the excursion.    But I do know DRF is about an hour away from Falmouth so maybe not that bad?

    Any insight or thoughts appreciated!

    Thanks!!

    Jenn

  4. Hi all,

hoping someone will have some insight here.   Going on a cruise, only my 2nd one and wondering if there will be enough time to book our own tour or if we are better off going with RCI for our day in Grand Cayman.   I understand you need to take a tender off and back in and I am not familiar with that.   Also we get in at 10 am and are one of 4 ships in port that day.    Our group would really like to do the Turtle farm and also Stingray city.   There is a tour but which includes both as well as a stop at the rum factory and a stop in hell which leaves me thinking we would not get much time at any of the stops.

    Thoughts?

thanks so much!  These boards have been so helpful!

  5. Hi all,

These boards have been so helpful in getting ready for our first family cruise which is now just 11 days away!!! I am ready to put away my phone and be unconnected for the duration of our trip but in traveling with teenagers they of course would like to be connected. I am not purchasing the WIFI on board for them and wondering if anyone knows off hand which ports may have free WIFI in and around the port area. We visit Aruba, Bonaire, Curaco and St. Maarten

    thanks in advance!!!!

  6. Hi all,

Just tried to call Royal but they are not open yet to answer this question. Can someone answer this question for me. I have been looking at Cruise Planner regularly as we get closer to our cruise in July on AOS. The deluxe package is advertised as $46. Every few days it says "20% off on board prices, $46/day" But this is still the same price, are they just playing games and appealing to people who do not look regularly so that they think they get a good deal? My FIL called yesterday saying he got an email form Royal offering the refreshment package, on sale for 6 more hours for $18. It's been $18 all along? Anyone else experience this?

  7. Hello!

I must say I have found these boards to be extremely helpful as we plan for our first ever cruise!!! I have a question about the drink package onboard Adventrue and have tried to search threads for the answer but have not found it.

In my Cruise Planner it says the Deluxe Package is $46 per person which is 20% off the onboard price. I have been checking and have found quotes online of it being $46 without the 20% off. Does it ever go below the $46 or is that what I should expect to pay? We sail the 2nd week in July. Just wondering if it may go lower the closer we get?

    Thanks in advance!!!!
