Thank you for the replies.  In my case, my credit card has trip interruption and cancellation insurance but I do not think it covers cruises.  If I go with the Tugo insurance can I just buy the emergency medical or do I need to buy the all inclusive package?

@tocanadawhen is your cruise departing?  I am still just outside my 90-day final payment for my March 20/22 cruise and I do not know what to do with the rising COVID cases here in Ontario...

  2. I also received this letter.

The extra cost for me to buy this insurance from Tugo is $270 and it does not appear to provide everything required by MSC ( such as quarantine costs).

It is unacceptable for them to have us incur extra costs after final payment is made. They should have said that any bookings made after Dec 17 require insurance .

This was to be my first MSC cruise and it has been a frustrating experience.

My only option is to cancel the cruise.

  3. Interesting, pretty much how I thought it worked, but I am surprised that these units would be small enough to easily load and install and uninstall?

Anyway all seems right on board.:)

I am from Toronto but am a retired insurance broker and not a firefighter. I do flowride a lot.

  4. Just got off Liberty. Everything on the ship was working fine including the Flowrider.

We missed Jamaica and had an extra sea day and $250 credit. Ship moving quite slowly.

No stand up surfing on this ship on first day. Only boogie boarding. Raining hard at the moment so probably the Flowrider is not that great right now.

  5. Did you mark your reservation as do not upgrade? If not, then they can move you to a higher category and not say a word. I always mark do not upgrade to avoid losing the room I carefully picked out.

I am down for an automatic upgrade but they just moved me to another B1 balcony in a worse location.

I was just lucky that I noticed the change and was able to move to an outside balcony while there was still one available.

Royal Caribbean can do whatever they like but I had hoped that as a Pinnacle member they would have at least shown the courtesy of making a phone call.

  6. Royal Caribbean just changed my cabin on the Allure transatlantic crossing on April 19.

About a year ago, I booked 11329 which is the last aft cabin on Boardwalk. From the cabin, you have a great view of the Aqua Shows.

They changed me to 11713 which has not nearly as good a view.

I suspect the reason for the change is that they are planning to start the construction of new aft suites during the crossing.

What upsets me is that they just make the change without even the courtesy of notifying either me or my travel agent. I only found out when checking my booking on-line.

I realiize they can do anything they want under the terms of the contract but I had hoped they would at least tell me first and let me select another cabin.
