What documentation have you provided for the status match? What is the big deal on providing it?

I booked a MSC cruise in August with DoUs package. Are they still honoring that package or do I need to "upgrade"?
According to what has been posted in several spots anything purchased is being honored at least for now. Appears if you want to upgrade for the old cheaper prices there is a deadline to do so by Dec 5. Seems to be some variation from booking country to country though. With the increased drink prices it would seem to be more advantageous now to upgrade since I doubt they will honor the drink prices at time of booking, just what was included in the package.

Check the fine print on the OBC. I have seen some OBC with restrictions stating for dining only, or for excursions only. Excep for those restrictions unused OBC paid out in cash according to some other threads.

I got stuck with the fee last year. There is fine print on the MSC site. It is just hard to find like most fine print. There has been some confusion on this board about this fee since some folks were charged and some folks were not. Reason is some folks CC company policy was different than other folks policy.
This year I use Discover.

Yikes...
So now..going from "drinks on us" to premium is $33 instead of $18????? That is quite a jump!!!
The $18 was from "drinks on us" to classic. Was $26 from "drinks on us" to deluxe.

Hopefully they go back to the vouchers, it was so much simpler. Perhaps just do it electronically though for example first 12 qualifying drinks are free rather than messing round with the paper tickets.

Each trip can be different but based on last years cruise expect a clean ship with helpful staff. I found the overall atmosphere more reserved than Carnival or Norwegian. Show were shorter but more elaborate ranging from opera to a Michael Jackson tribute show. Food was varied and quite good. Service time was a bit slow but at least they did not interrupt dinner with waving napkin show. Not much for nightlife. Seemed like many passengers were in bed by 10PM and bars began shutting down by 11PM gradually leaving the pool bars left.
It was good enough for me to be sailing the Divina again this year but decision is based more on cost and ports than the ship itself.

You could always follow the rules and leave things as they are. Swapping cards will make a mess.

Perhaps MSC does grasp the concept quite well. It is a way for them to have a more personal dialog with their customers. It is not the place for some self appointed king or queen bee to babble on about the cabin crawl or roll call events.

So is this new damage or still last years damage? Have a stop there in November and curious what shape the island is in.

Don't be too discouraged if you don't get a table for two. I am not so good with strangers, but have met some nice folks in the MDR, and if there is an issue just mention to the waiter who can forward to
Maitre D who can do some rearranging. Most of the tables as I recall seat 6 and often at lease one other couple does not show up.

Can a package be spit into multiple sessions? Is prepurchasing a package much of a deal? So what is considered an item, and do they do socks, underwear, t-shirts etc. or just fancy stuff? If they do socks and underwear are there any issue with harsh soaps and skin sensitivities? I am only going on a 10 day Divina in November but I would rather not have 10 days of dirty laundry around at the end. Figuring 2 sets per day with some reuse of short term formal wear that is at least 15 full sets of clothes.

Question related to the 5%. I booked on the memorial day special, balcony for price of inside and was advised that the previous cruiser discount did not apply because of the special pricing. Would this apply to status match as well since I have sailed Carnival and Norwegian in the past as well, in addition to MSC last year.

May have changes since last year, but MSC had busses arranged for airport transfers that were timely and reasonable. Was a bit cheaper than Uber for 2 at the time.

No mistake as long as you don't expect babysitting service under 12 mo.

I thought linking the bookings would solve this. Should be a call to the TA

Is the difference in pricing between countries tied to tipping/gratuities?

Any idea if it is fair to use current ship experience to what it will be like in November? As they change from Mediterranean to Caribbean do they switch crew? entertainment? menues?
I was on Divina last December and wondering what to expect this November.

Don't you get bathrobes with fantastica too or is that with next level up?
-
When did it get decided that the dress code was going to be ignored?
-
When the ship gets there does not equate when when you get off though. It really depends on customs. In my opinion 11 would be pushing it. I am surprised there are no flights before 8:30 though. Have you checked flights out of Miami as an alternative?

You may be able to work out MDR with the Maître D if the ship is not full, otherwise they have the spots reserved.
The plus and minus of the drink package?

Cheers does not seem a good fit for many. In order to make it worthwhile you need to drink a lot, and the true chronics whom can drink that much run up against the 15 drink minimum.
