  1. Just saw Vance again the other day , he has Sold his boat , he said that all the big establishments have gotten boats and herd the folks on through cruise ship contracts and beach resorts and bars , so he is not able to compete BUT he still does PRIVATE Island Tours for couples or as many as ONLY 4 people . He Loves doing these and you can get him to show you Barbados at a fraction of the cost of the tour buses and vans you can find him here :https://www.barbadosturtlesandsitestours.com/

  2. what you got against Scots , they were some of the first slaves of Barbados ,

The three main so called 'Clubs' on Carlisle bay beach Harbour lights , Boat yard and now Pirate's Cove Not only want your money for lunch drinks chairs and umbrellas they all got foolish pontoon boats and glass bottom boat that take you on a very commercial QUICK trip to the 4-6 turtles that still come in the bay because of over crowding .

better to get a Private Boat and allow the real experts and boat operators to survive . I have been going to Barbados for years and know what i see and what I am talking about . Its really congested out there in the bay and all the Haves try to take it all for themselves in Barbados and most of them provide a really commercial money centered experience that is not relaxing or enjoyable and watch out for the beach hustlers and the annoying Jet skis , they are dangerous as well .

  3. We go with Barbados Skipper Vance Tours every year since 2006 that we get to Barbados and he takes you in an exclusively private small walk around boat , 6 maximum and goes from South to North , knows how to call the turtles and is very entertaining with his local knowledge of the waters and history of Barbados and his Thai wife sends along wonderful snacks and drinks are abundant . We feed the turtles and swim with them , sunbathe listen to great music ,as he himself is a musician /guitar player and has the best tunes . We highly recommend Skipper Vance Tours

  4. I recommend getting a Barbados Private Tour Guide like Skipper Vance in Barbados and , Dominica a fellow named Grantley , and in all the Islands there private tour guides .

    Hello all,

We're going on our first cruise in Nov/Dec 2017. I'm trying to figure out what to do where.

    Here's where we're going:

    St. Thomas

    Dominca

    Barbados

    St. Lucia

    St. Maartan

Puerto Rico (only have a few hours between 3pm and 8pm)

Here's what we want to do:

    Snorkel

    Zip Line

    Hike

    ATV/Jeep/Rhino tour

Shop (men's watch and local specialties)

Not just lay on a beach

The trip is 3 adults. One is a scuba diver and he and myself have snorkeled in Belize so we're spoiled. But my son, 26-years-old, really wants to and we want him to have a good experience. He was looking at those underwater motorized bike thingys. In St. Maartan, we've done the America's Cup Racing experience, which we loved but don't want to repeat.

If we were to take a limo from the port to an excursion, which port would be the most reliable for that?

Also, can you really just walk of the ship and grab excursions? I don't want to overpay on the ship, but I AM a planner and am nervous about this part of our trip. (NCL Jade, staying in the Haven).
