duh. keester them. come on man, thats like Smuggling 101.
-
Yes, they had them in the garden cafe buffet

Couple weeks ago on the Jewel, from leaving the cabin to getting thru Border crossing was 48 minutes. probably 15 of that in the maze once actually off the ship.
No wheelchairs/scooters are allowed for express or do-it-yourself disembarcation.

Feel free to walk past Chin Chin's. Not only did I feel the female servers uniforms were tacky, the food was super bland. Easily the worst of the "free to feed" restaurants with quality. No spices to the traditional dishes and just not very good in general.
The beef curry in the buffet was head and shoulders better than anything in chin chin's.

Here's another then.....
Is a hippopotamus really a hippo or just a really cool opotamus ?

Here's one for you. NCL excursion in Ketchikan. Took rental car shuttle style van to drop off point with 12 others. 3 went to zip line, 10 went sea kayak. For return trip they sent a huge 50 passenger bus. no saved stuff on seats. DW and I grab seats halfway back and 2 stops later someone gets on and says "you are in our seats". When we got on there was no one but the driver on board (and our original group). Second stop had maybe 15 people, so 20+ empty seats. I looked at the guy and pointed to seats next row and further back. I also mentioned we were on the Jewel, and guess what, he wasn't even on the same ship.
Moving someone's property is dirty pool and not cool. But a lack of understanding concerning "saved" community property is pretty much stuff you need to pick up on in kindergarten.

I really liked my Jewel Alaska cruise. I'd do another in a couple years no problem.

Ship - Jewel
Deck - 10
Stateroom # - 10108
Stateroom Category – Balcony
Starboard or Port Side - Starboard
Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes quiet inside. we had noisy neighbors who loved to talk on their phones on the balcony while in port.
Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - yes to one further aft.
Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – nice balcony, good chairs, small table. high enough to avoid most noise at port.
Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - normal size.....
Was wind a problem? - wind was nice, sometimes cold but never got wet during rains in port.
If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - nope
Any specific problems with this cabin? - bathroom was pretty small, bed nice. TV not great.
Any other comments? - Coffee maker helped us make better coffee than the buffet had.

To be honest, the gayer and more ethnically diverse my table is, the happier I am. It would be kind of boring to exclusively talk to straight white people in their mid-20's the whole cruise.
The wife is asian and well, we are not straight and boring ;) kill marry sleep with is one of our favorite games to play in new environments......

I've also found that it is not a bad idea to post a cl ad in your departure port as well. We are supposed to meet a couple the first day at sea on our upcoming alaska cruise.

FYI the sherry they offer is really good. It was part of our jerez sherry tour a couple years back, and def one of the faves.

On the old show "The Rockford Files" a character would occasionally refer to P.I. Rockford as a felon. He would always respond, "EX-felon. I received a full pardon from the governor." If one has been convicted of a felony and but later pardoned, he or she could accurately be referred to as an EX-felon, I believe. I have no idea how being pardoned affects one's ability to visit Canada. I just love James Garner and "Rockford". :)
Yes but that was before SCMODS, and he'd probably flag today.
I did the Blaine crossing with my 82 year old uncle, 80 year old auntie, 46 year old wife and 47 year old me.
We got sent to secondary inspection, they tore thru my van, deflated the tires on my race bicycle, and stuck us there for 2.5 hours. Why ? Because we are from Seattle and could have marijuana in the car.
I was going for an Ironman. CBP are worse than reserve cops. Morons.
oh and SCMODS = State County Municipal Offender Data Systems. It's real.

ding ding. we have a match ;)

No camo.

Throw some "shaka brah" when you're zippin. makes for a cool photo.

9. The water slide is for kids. Slow, but I loved that as my kids are afraid of fast ones.
You lost all credibility with this one. Stop being a helicopter parent. Kids get hurt, take chances, learn from mistakes.
The tattoo comment was over the top.
Seriously, stick with the stay cations. I bet you would curl up into a ball and die if you went to Europe.

They do the same thing with Red Bull
Yes, but Red Bull is disgusting.
Ginger beer can actually help with seasickness, and works great for hangovers

wait what ? Carnival is trying to only make your bed once a day ? Now that's reason enough to avoid them going forward. TIC for those with no sarcasm meter

I think this subject is always interesting. I guess some folks assume that new members automatically know all the old subjects. Things change, so an occasion review is good for the forum.
I was shopping for shorts yesterday and noted how popular camo patterns are still popular and stylish. I was even surprised to see a few people wearing camo in Europe on the Rick Steves show.
Burt
That Rick Steves show was in Serbia, those clowns do not know how to dress any other way.

I've got the best solutions to the overtly religious, love showing pictures of their kids, selling insurance, and politics yakkers......
We will bring up the benefits of "open marriage" and ask the religious ones if they'd like to join sometime. Pictures of kids/grandkids get a response of us skinny skiing or me in the borat mankini or the wife all tanned and tantalizing. I laugh at the insurance line as a 4 year cancer survivor and the wife being family to folks already "in the game" .
Politics yakkers are the toughest, the uber conservative ones are fun to talk with for about 15-20 minutes, and then hopefully food shows up. The lefties are just annoying, so the wife usually starts in with the "how close is your nearest homless/rehab/planned parenthood center" and they shut up.
Both of us went to boarding school, and understand opinions vary, and alternate between poking and laughing.

Better than walking ?

I would love to eat at Cagney's on our upcoming Breakaway cruise. The problem is my DH is BEYOND a picky eater. If you can even imagine, there is nothing on the Cagney's menu he would order.
Would they possibly make him something like a burger or a dish from the MDR menu if we dine there?
send me a PM, I'll take you to dinner @ Cagney's and we can figure out other activities later

I would be wary of drinking with anyone on a cruise who would not tip $1 for cocktails/wine/beer brought to them. Mostly because I'm sure tipping (or lack thereof) would not be the trait that pissed me off the most.
-
It usually only gets physical IMO if that person has had too much to drink.
The only reason i wouldn't get physical is i don't want to be ejected from the ship unless it was self defense.
How many instances of people who are inebriated getting into altercations do you think happen ?
the people who get drunk and then fight are the worst.
If you had to choose: Cagney's or Le Bistro?
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
trade out the teppanyaki. do cagneys & le bistro. we did that and the moderno and cagneys was the best for service and quality of food.
