Planning ahead for embarkation day on the Vista. I'd love to try Jijis for lunch and I'm sure the hubs does too. But I can already envision the kids complaining about that...they'd rather do Italian. Can they go in Cucino by themselves and order/get served with no problem? They are 13 and almost 9.

I just got a pair of Queasy Beads that I ordered for my daughter for our first cruise. Don't know how they are going to work yet (we leave in 10 days!!!), but they are beautiful. They work in the same way as the sea bands (acupressure) but are not as utilitarian looking, and there are tons of colors to choose from. Check out her website.

Thank you! I found that sub-forum after I posted . Maybe the moderator can move this for me?

Getting ready for our first cruise and would love to hear your recommendations on favorite places to buy cute and/or functional casual and dressy clothes for your cruise. Sundresses, etc....I have plenty of shorts/shirts. I'm on a budget, so the cheaper, the better! I'm not a tiny person, but I'm not huge either. I'm a middle-aged mom with a muffin top, so maybe I'll stay away from places like Forever 21 :)

I don't recommend the Turtle, Stingray Land and Sea Adventure - we Got 10 minutes at each stop and the day was just frustrating. The captain got the boat stuck on the sand bar and we almost didn't make it back to the ship.
I just booked this through Shore Excursioneer. Was the one you went on thru Carnival or an outside company?

They usually sell out pretty quickly, but they will get them back in stock on a regular basis. I'd venture to guess every month or two.
Thank you!

Thank you from this newbie too! How long do they usually stay on the Verizon site? And/or how often do they come back around? Don't think I'll be getting any this month, but would love to in the next 3 months or so....
Sofa beds
in Carnival Cruise Lines

Just got offered an upgrade from a standard balcony to a grand suite. The living room sofa pulls out into a queen bed. Anyone have any personal experience with the comfort level of those? My teenage daughter would rather have the smaller cabin than sleep on a pullout couch, but I thought I read elsewhere that there is no actual bar in the middle of the bed. Would love to hear from someone who has slept on one. Thank you!
