We were to board the Oosterdam in Seattle today. It was to be a three generation family reunion celebrating our son and daughter-in-law's graduation from college. Perhaps next year.....

We did both last November when we stopped in the Azores. The ship's tour was well done. We were on a large bus. Our tour guide was a local gal who was very informative. On another island we took a tour through the big box agency you referenced. There were five of us-three from the ship and two from elsewhere. We were on a 4x4 jeep that went places that a large bus couldn't go. Our driver/tour guide was very informative and would stop whenever we saw a great photo op. We also signed up for a private tour through our roll call on a third island. There were seven of us in a van with a driver/tour guide. That tour had the most flexibility and value. In our opinion, all three types of tours were worthwhile.

$288.96 should be for one person because the price for our 7 day is $144.48 per person.

We purchased a FCD in November of 2018 for our grandson who did not have a Mariner number at that time. He was given one at the time of purchase.

We were on her in Oct/Nov. Our cabin was fine. The a/c kept us comfortable, but not cold, as we adjusted it lower the closer we got to Fort Lauderdale. The tv screen washed out one day. Our room steward did his magic (unplugged it and plugged it back in) and it was fine the rest of the trip. We were in an ocean view on deck 6.

Here are two pictures of cabin 1820 on the Volendam (an EE quad) in May. Four 21-23 year old gals who were used to living in small dorm rooms stayed there. The only time it was too small was when they waited until the last minute to dress for dinner and all were vying for the mirror in the bathroom.

We brought back a deck of cards that we picked up at the front desk. The cards say "Holland America Line" on them and are not ship specific.

If we are paying for three cabins for us and our adult kids and spouses/friends would we be able to use FCD on our cabin only? Or on all three? We are sailing next week and could buy FCD then. Our kids are not. Thank you.

Thank you for the information! We'll be on the Amsterdam next month and will definitely make use of the laundromat.

Thank you for all the information and the lovely photos. Do you recall if there was a Protestant worship service on board?

We booked four days before departure. The only regret is that I didn't have enough time to research each port. It still turned out to be a great trip!
