We are also on a B2B2B out of Sydney starting Feb 25 and I had the same questions! The thread below provides some details:
https://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/topic/2965058-b2b-from-sydney-procedures/It seems that we do have to disembark for at least an hour or two per Australia regulations, but can get back on anytime before all aboard using a special fast pass that bypasses most of the process. Once on board you can’t get off again, but there’s nothing preventing us from sightseeing for the day before re-embarking. We’ve booked a bridge climb on the first turnaround day, and plan to take a ferry over to the zoo on the second turnaround day.
Thanks so much for this thread….it answered all my questions and some I didn’t even know I had!

We are doing B2B2B cruises out of Sydney and we’re planning on doing sightseeing in Sydney in between cruises. I’m wondering realistically how much time would we have once we get off the ship and before we have to be back on board. Departure time on all cruises is 6:45 although I’m guessing all aboard will be around 5:00. We don’t have to change cabins so that won’t be an issue. I understand the cruises aren’t linked and we have to disembark and be processed again and since this is our first B2B not sure how long this process takes or even if we are able to go sightseeing at all. Thanks for any advice!

Excited to follow along with you as we are also doing this itinerary next year. And nice to have another Ravens fan….we were at the game and it wasn’t pretty 😢

Very excited to be following along with you. We were supposed to be on the Oosterdam South America voyage this year but life got in the way and we are now booked for 2026…..such a long way away but your vlog will make the wait bearable so thanks for sharing your adventures with us!

We were on deck 8 aft (cabin 8168) on the Nieuw Amsterdam in Alaska. We loved it and weren’t at all bothered by noises above or below. We thought it was perfect for viewing the sights in Alaska and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

We leave June 3….so it looks like Cielo will be closed for the entire month of June. Very strange! I have learned the hard way to never call on a Monday but I think I will try to get to the bottom of this tomorrow with a phone call to Princess.

We were booked in the Cielo each night for an upcoming 14 night cruise in June and all the reservations have disappeared. And it’s not showing up as an option to rebook on any of the nights at any time. I’m hoping it’s a system glitch and will reappear magically just like it disappeared!

Thanks so much for posting this wonderful review and especially the pictures of the cabin. We are also on the Sky in Cabin D731 which should be pretty similar to yours. We have been looking for pictures because we weren’t sure how the solid wall on the aft cabin would feel….now we know and I think we will love it!

I am on this sailing and have a 5:30 MDR reservation.

Thanks to everyone for their detailed answers! It sounds like the process isn’t bad at all and we will have plenty of time for some touring on turnaround days.
