  1. Their facebook page said that they received no structural damage to any of their buildings. structures or zip lines. I think other logistical issues are keeping them from being open right now (power, safety inspection, surrounding infrastructure, etc..). With all that in mind I am very hopeful that they will be reopened in time for prime tourist season/ spring break.

  2. On the Ecstacy last week they had people stationed at the doors to the star light lounge where our muster station was and scanned every single card for those coming in. The crew at our station also made several announcements throughout the drill for people who had shown up to the wrong muster station and those who where not there and haven't scanned in. They did all of this before making a final ship wide announcement of those who where not present at their muster stations by name and requested those people to attend a special muster at 5PM in the conference room. After that we went to the life boats for about 5-10 minutes max and were done. A crew member told me that if the missing people did not show up to the 5PM muster that they were now locking their S&S accounts until they were accounted for and in compliance.

  3. The Ecstasy (Fantasy Class) has the Alchemy Bar, Red Frog Rum Bar, Blue Iguana Tequila bar, Blue Iguana Cantina, Guys Burgers, Water Works, the pour your own beer machines, and of course a Serenity deck at the aft of the ship. I believe that is all the 2.0 upgrades available for that class of boat at this time.

  4. Just last cruise a drunk 50 year old lady who had obviously locked herself out of her room was trying loudly to proposition the steward who let her into her room to come in and have a go at some extra curricular activities. She had a hold of his arm and was actually trying to pull him in. I had my 6 year old daughter and wife with me and walked on down the hall to my room once I was sure he had back up to get free. My wife left the room shortly after and said that the same lady had to be pulled off of the stage in the Atrium by security after repeatedly being asked to leave the stage by the musician trying to perform. When we both left a few moments later she was being held inside her room by security and calling out that the steward was trying to come inside her room and sexually assault her. Of course there was more than enough witnesses and I am sure video to show otherwise.

  5. Thanks! That just makes things so much more exciting!!!

Have you been on the ecstasy since its dry dock in January? We are going on this cruise with other family members for my nieces graduation present. So, we didn't get to choose what cruise... needless to say I'm a little concerned that we are going on a smaller older ship. And my husband is not happy about the 5 day and less cruises no longer get the steak/lobster dinner for formal night. I'm trying to find out any other perks to take away from some of the negatives!

I just got back from the Ecstasy today and I think he will love the additions of the Alchemy bar if he is into having a great cocktail in the evenings. The Neon Piano bar was also a great spot for us in the evenings.

  6. We had fun. My oldest, 16 yo son, had the best time because he was able to go as he pleased and met lots of people. My 15 yo hung with us and had a good time but wasn't in to "hanging out." My 5 yo loved the water park and camp ocean. Be prepared to wait in line for almost everything (which my husband didn't like). Food was ok. We felt rushed at port, afraid we would miss the boat so had to relax at Nassau. Half Moon Cay was amazing!

Half Moon Cay was just absolutely amazing and the day absolutely did not last long enough. I think my wife is sold on cruising and said we should do it at least once a year :D.

  7. My daughter 6, and son 13 were like ghost this past week on our cruise. My daughter actually had a fit because the camp closed for an hour and she had to leave. After discovering Camp Ocean she did not even want to go on the water slides anymore because she was having way too much fun in camp and me and mom were chopped liver. :) My son 13 has not stopped texting the friends he made since we got back.

  8. We are doing this exact same cruise. I and my daughter 7 are the really excited ones and the wife and my son 13 are more along for the ride. I hope to get them hooked as well because we are already booked on our second cruise for Easter next year. I think the wife is coming along because she really needs a vacation right now and the cruise is starting to appeal to her more everyday. I think it is interesting that we are celebrating our anniversary as well.
