I was thinking of using RCL to book our return to EWR to make it easier and guarantee return to the airport for a 2:30 flight home. But it sounds like I I can get a group cab or even uber cheaper and just as easy. Am I missing something or need to consider anything else planning wise?

Does the beverage packages prices change when you go from oceanview to balcony? I noticed once our reservation changed the price on the packages went up $2. Not a big deal as I already bought at the lower price just was surprised and still hoping for another discount.

You should just have to pay the difference, but you will have to contact the TA. Also, if there were perks associated with your original booking, and those perks are not in force when you upgrade, then you would lose them. The TA should be able to detail all the differences.

Thank you. I'm waiting to hear back. I'm hoping the price difference is not a lot and falls in our range of what we are ok with going up. We didn't get any perks.

Vroom was very reliable if you wish to engage in social media stuff -my daughter posted pics to Facebook daily -just make sure you put phone in airplane mode -also royal as app where you can text to other people in your party -however everyone must have the app which is about $7.95

There is no "usual" with Royal. There are no automatic credits either. If the price goes down (you have to watch for that), you can cancel and re-order.

I forgot to mention, we did have the drink and voom package. It actually went on sale the weekend before we left to the lowest price that I've seen it since cyber Monday, the price was about $504.

 

 

 

The VOOM internet worked great, not so much on our balcony but that was expected and fine. We would facetime other family memebers with no issue.

 

 

 

I felt as the drink package was worth it for me because I've been known to have several drinks throughout the course of the day :rolleyes: but its also great for the speciality coffee, fresh orange juice, soda, bottled water, etc. It would be depending if you could drink about $56 a day worth of drinks, which isn't that hard to do. Since it worked in Labadee that was also nice.

Does it usually go down in price the closer you get? If I buy now am I locked in or will they credit if it drops?
