  1. LOL. guess it's time to watch the news shows ,who arent spending near as much time on it as the hysteria on here would indicate and see when they get these blood results that im sure the doctor probably drew with 2 pairs of gloves on and straight into a sealed vile..remember no body fluid contact no ebola..

hopefully good news will come out tonight:cool:.

  2. I am glad none of yall are in decision making positions. you take paranoia to new levels. im much more concerned about getting the flu then i ever will be about ebola. i sale on 10/26 and certainly hope they cancel our cruise and i work there every sunday and plan on being just as upbeat and positive as i always am...

my glass is half full and apparantly some of yalls are half empty and nothing anyone can do or say will change that...wishing you peace and good health and

    enjoy your fears

  3. yall stop...at the end of the day i will revert back to the work of someone in a lab. luvthe ships. do you think this supervisor picked up a vial of a sample unprotected and even worse opened it. be real here ok..thats all i ask. dont continue to diminish the safety and protocol: used in infectious disease labs of hospitals or research labs

    thanks

lets move on to another topic:cool:

  4. duck lite,

i was referring to when aids was in its infancy. I saw it firsthand as a volunteer, some of my friends were treated as if they had the plague and with no respect as they were dieing. of course 30 yrs later we know more and of course today that is not how they are treated.

anyway hopefully tomorrow will go well and i'll have somethings to tell everyone when i get home from work:cool:

  5. i truly believe everything will go great with debarkation tomorrow and we will safely embark 4000 people for for the next cruise and there will be an extra clean disinfected ship waiting to show them a great vacation. There is no ebola onboard and the lab worker should not feel guilty at all. This is what lab workers do and they are around infectious and deadly diseases every day but they have a protocol they follow it and they stay healthy and have long healthy careers. Or we would see them dropping like flies all over the country and world every day and no one would want to be a lab worker. Think about it folks.

Please lets not repeat the mistakes and lack of human compassion that we had for AIDS victims with ebola.

Hope tomorrow goes smoothly. The cruiseline and the lady involved and her husband do not deserve this. and just last month the Magic got a perfect score for its sanitation so they are always on top of things on that ship not just because of this .

have a great Saturday everyone..will let everyone know how work went when i get home tomorrow afternoon

  6. to those of you who are choosing to be positive and to understand that someone working in a lab where infectious diseases are regularly protected thus leaving an almost slim to nothing chance of infection or we would have hospital workers in the US dieing all the time from all sorts of illnesses I thank you!

for those of you choosing to be paranoid I have already lived through all the hate and paranoia of the initial aids scare 30 years ago and am not enjoying this flashback. I hope any ebola patients get treated better and with more respect than anyone back in the beginning of aids...

I believe with all my heart that with this persons position she never thought she could have contacted it , hence the reason she took the cruise..so let's not crucify her..

I am sure carnival will do everything they can to do the right thing and that will make some of the people happy and others not so in the end i hope they will do what is right for in regards to the current facts which is we have a ship that at this point has NO ebola victims on it but is being de contaminated anyway. Thank you Carnival for being pro=active regardless of opinion! ok i feel better now:cool:

  7. from the research I have been doing and the timeline on the persons job and the patient who died in dallas as long as she gets off the ship with no symptoms, which at this point they are saying there are none and with the way it is transmitted there should be no cause for alarm. I hope your cruise goes out as planned as I cruise the sunday after and certainly hope mine does..I am completely comfortable with the research I have been doing that this is not a random virus that I can just catch by being in the same proximity with someone...lets keep our fingers crossed that #1 this person doesn't exhibit any symptoms and escapes this virus ansd then # 2 we get to go on our cruises:cool:

  8. putting many contractors on it weekly to do upgrades sans a drydock. don't know what we're getting yet. but hamburger area is already in the same place as guys's so a décor and product switch and guys will be in place. the ship is in great shape and really doesn't need a drydock anyway..and please don't take away the tandoori station. its the best part of the buffet at lunch!

  9. the indian buffet is set up daily from 1130-3 at the aft pool port side of the ship right as you walk outside from the main buffet and is my lunch every day all 7 days I cruise the Magic as it is outstanding... simple but outstanding..Dont miss it!!!
