  1. We did it. It wasn't our favorite but it isn't the worst option either. If you are just looking for something inexpensive to do just to get off the boat, it is a fun couple of hours. It is HOT in the bottom of the boat where you have to go in order to view the glass. We spent more time on the deck just looking at houses.

But for us we were just wanting to get off the boat for a couple of hours and do something with our kids. They thought it was cool and didn't really care about how hot it was.

  2. Thank you for this piece of info...

Your kids will have plenty of potential new friends on board, and my students had a great time. If you are concerned about college kids, check when USF, FSU, and UF are out...those are going to be the bulk of the college students on board.

We are coming from Alabama so I think our spring break is later. Good to know what colleges to check on...

My husband is a teacher so I would imagine cruising with a student isn't the number one thing you would want to do! Y'all work so hard you deserve a break from the kids.

Thanks everyone for the info! I don't mind a good mix but I don't want my school aged kids at a college spring break pool party. Those are things parents just shouldn't know about. HaHa

  3. We did the dolphin swim in St. Kitts and really enjoyed it. Only time we have done that excursion so I can't speak to it compared to the others. It was a really fun experience. The pictures are way over priced. I knew I couldn't leave without buying the pictures of my kids being pulled by a dolphin. But, I knew that before I ever left the ship. I am a sucker for pictures. Haha!

  4. My husband and I cruised on Brilliance from Tampa in February. One thing we noticed was the ship seem to catered to more of the retiree crowd. This wasn't an issue for us but we would like to take our kids (13 and 11) on the Brilliance for spring break next year (last week of March). The kids loved our video of going under the bridge and they want to experience it live.

Anyone know if there will be more kids on board since it is spring break? Also, any idea if it is a big college spring break cruise destination?

My kids love to cruise and make friends in the kids clubs. Since Brillance doesn't have as many activities as Harmony, making friends to play basketball and ping pong with is important.

Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks

  5. Just cruised out of Tampa last month. We were able to make our 10:50 flight without any problem. The only delay we experienced was the self walk off option which was handled differently than other ships on which I have cruised. They gathered walk offs in the MDR and then lead a section out at a time. It seemed to take a bit longer than I have experienced previosuly. But, we were off and in the taxi by 7:45 or so.

  6. My kids 12 and 10 really enjoyed RCCL's Harmony after having been on three Disney Cruises. The only negative we had with RCCL was the kids clubs. Disney is by far superior and my kids really loved those on Disney. RCCL's clubs were disappointing. For the 12 year old, the club was 12-18 year olds and most of the kids hanging out were older kids. For my 10 year old, the kids club wasn't enjoyable as it was only one loud room for ages 9-11 with limited activities. Honestly, it didn't seem like a lot of the kids went to the clubs. Also, the sports activities on Harmony like basketball, putt-putt and ping pong had way more older teens than Disney. This made my younger kids not really want to do those things. However, the kids loved all the extras on the Harmony like rock climbing, zip lining and the Abyss slide. We spent far more family time together on Harmony as the kids stayed with us all the time. If that is not your thing, lots of parents allowed their younger kids free run of the ship as well.
