  1. h_blond2, this was my first ever cruise! I was on the ship too! We had an absolute blast. Love your pics. God, I miss the beautiful water in Costa Maya so much. But, hopefully next year we can get back down that way on another cruise. We are thinking of doing Triumph or Dream out of New Orleans next time though and going through Montego and Grand Cayman then back through Cozumel to New Orleans. Have you been to any of those ports before?

  2. Our check in time was from 130-2, so we got there at about 1245 and even then the line was ridiculous, but once we finally got to the terminal and got our luggage to the porter, it started moving very fast. Now, getting off the ship, be prepared to wait a while. When we got back to Mobile on June 3, it was pouring. That made things worse with the heat and humidity. But, getting on wasn't so bad at all. The overflow lot we parked in was in a gated area they directed us to just right there under the interstate bridge by the train tracks across from the terminal. I guess we got lucky and didn't have to park all the way at the Civic Center Lot.

  3. We just went on our first ever cruise (a rookie, yes, I know) out of Mobile. We live 3 hours from Mobile, in Jackson, MS and wanted to do a port that was closer, with a smaller ship. The getting to the ship/on the ship/parking when we got there was not the problem. it was getting OFF the ship that took FOREVER, to get the bags, then we ended up having to tote our bags to the overflow lot across the train tracks because the incoming traffic for the next cruise had already started, and the process was kinda slow. But, that's life I suppose. Plus, this was a Memorial Day cruise we were getting off of, and the ship was completely packed as well.
