  1. Friend of mine asked this and I cant seem to find a good site for it - he wants to search cruises by limiting to ships launched in last few months, say 2 years or after Jan 1 2022. I thought it would be easy, but didnt have much luck finding anything!

Could people recommend a few sites that has this option? or if there's another way to get to the same results? Thanks

  2. I sailed November 2017 and I did not have any problems. I used it for work. I worked for 2 days 4 hour each day. One day I even had a meeting via google hangouts. The audio was fine but the video was a bit choppy. This was fine though because the audio was the most important part to the meeting. There was a day when it went out, but that was not a day I had to work. I only knew about because I heard other guests talking about it.

I was able to use google hangouts throughout the cruise to chat.

    text in hangouts or audio?

  3. H- Would people post their RECENT experience (last 6 months) on internet aboard Anthem. Ive read horror stories about VOOM internet not being fast (actual speeds of 0.3mb etc).

    ## Pls, KEEP posting and dont stop if you see a few people posted. This would enlarge our experience sample and help not just us but countless other travellers having the same questions ##

    1. We're interested more in maybe the day pass that can be bought for single days for 1-2 devices? Pls. mention specifics (like Mbps and not generalized comment like it was OK- unless you have some contextual info like you streamed youtube for 20mins and no lag- which still gives some specific info)

    2. How does speed compare on Single day simple surfing to the Surf & Stream packages? We need it Not for streaming but web surfing email etc.? (So say someone experienced 0.5Mbps on Surf but had 2 Mbps on Stream package)

    3. Whats the best way to buy a daily pass and whats the best price rather than the $22 they apparently advertise?

  4. Hello! rather time sensitive pls.

I'm about to lock-down/pay full for cabin 6172 - its obstructed view balcony- we're not too concerned about the view.

Main issue is - my wife's a real light sleeper- wakes up with a pindrop. How's the noise level in this room? My main concerns are:

    1. Elevators about 6 rooms away - do these elevators make that ding-ding/chime of doors opening on each floor?

    2. Someone talked about cafe270 galley being noisy between 4-6am each day? Would that be a concern here?

    3. Lifeboats across from balcony - do they emit that creaking sound etc. sound as ship sways ?

So view is not an issue but sound would be - primarily between 930pm - 7am.

    Any guidance sincerely appreciated!

Another option would be an Oceanview 3598 - though not sure how long it remains available.

  5. A2stylist incorrectly identified a ticket book as "bus ferry passes". They are different . You can't purchase the ticket books, which have 14 tickets, at Dockyard. You can buy transportation passes, as well as tokens at Dockyard. You would have to buy the ticket books in Hamilton. (Passes and tokens are also sold in Hamilton.)

Each ticket from the ticket book can be used for one bus or ferry ride. Each token can be used for one bus or ferry ride. Transportation passes are sold by the day...one day, two day, three day (there are also longer pass times that are bought by local residents) and allow unlimited bus and ferry rides for the length of time the pass is valid.

thanks for clarifying...and can one go from one end to another (dockyard to hamilton or st. george) in 1 ride ticket?

  6. Hello everyone- newbie here- need your advise.

We'll be in Bermuda from June 22 afternoon to June 25 afternoon. Our party- 2 adults and an 8 yr old.

    1. Are bus passes better than hiring a scooter- can scooter accommodate (is it allowed as well) a child+ 2 adults?

    2. Are buses very frequent and covering all places of interest?

    3. if we go bus passes, someone suggested that instead of buying full price, finding a local and buying 80% or so used (or 4-5 days left) monthly passes that could be had very inexpensively- Has someone tried that? and how do I reach the locals. Are there people at the port offering to sell these?

    4. I have tmobile postpaid phone/data plan in US- Do I need to buy a phone card for bermuda to use my phone locally? Which is the most inexpensive way to buy internet/data mins in bermuda?
