Argh! I just changed my flight to 1:45pm from 10:10am. I was reading on another CC forum that I would miss my flight, even if was one of the first to leave the NCL a getaway on Oct 7th.

We just got off the ship & are sitting at CPH now. We have a 10am Lufthansa flight with a layover intra Europe so no customs just yet.

 

It's true that there are very few taxis at the terminal; <10 = 3 vans & maybe 5 or so cars at 7am.

 

Self walk off people were able to leave the ship I saw as early as 6:45am and be picked up by private transfer or one of the few taxis. Not knowing the transportation situation, we booked the NCL transfer while on the ship (they push this option hard with literature each day) at $30 per person. We arrived in the atrium at 6:45am, were permitted to get off at 7am, and we got the first bus to the airport which arrived at 7:50am.

 

 

After a bit of a check in debacle, we were sitting at our gate by 9.

I plan on being on line to be one of the first off the ship and then hustle. Are there many taxis waiting at the port? I may have to bite the bullet and pay a change fee with British Airways.

I'm going to be on NCL Getaway, disembarking at 7am in October 7th, I plan on being off the ship first bring my own bags for a 10:05am flight from Copenhagen. I hope this is enough time, going to be very stressful?

Thanks for the info, you have me very nervous now. I'm traveling solo and very efficient traveling. Arriving on a Saturday so hopefully the traffic won't be an issue. I'm also "gold" status on NCL, so I believe get priority disembarkcaction as well.

Hello. Recently I have to cancel a NCL cruise to the Baltics as a family member is having medical issues. We canceled the trip, luckily we have travel insurance. Can I rebook the same cruise, as a solo traveler?

I will be on the September 28th Baltic cruise from Copenhagen and have a few questions:

1. How far is the port from the airport; best mode of transportation from airport to port?

2. On disembarkation day, the ship arrives in Copenhagen at 7am, wondering if a 10am flight is possible to make?

2. Any hotel recommendations close to the port?

3. Excursions booked through the ship are really expensive. Are the tour companies at each port that offer excursions?

4. When we arrive in Berlin, I understand that there is a train station very close to port. Anyone ever take the train not booked with a tour/excursion, straight into Berlin and do your own tour or hop on/off bus?

5. I'll probably book a tour for St. Petersburg, any tour recommendations or book through cruise?
