You can take prescription meds and OTC meds on your cruise.
You may put them in your carry on or in your checked luggage.
I use my carry on just to be sure I have them when I need them if my checked luggage is delayed.

But...the OTC meds need to be unsealed or brand new? That's my real question--thanks so much--I'm leaving tomorrow for Jacksonville!

My upcoming cruise on Carnival Elation will be my first. I have a question about over the counter medications--can you bring unsealed medications onboard--things such as ibuprofen, tums, Benadryl? Also, should they be carried on or in other luggage that will be delivered? Thank you for any assistance you can give me--I couldn't find any clear answers on Carnival's website.

This is awesome! Thank you so much! It helps to have some idea of what is going on. I am surprised there are three big shows! I think it is usually just two. So that is nice. I am disappointed there are only two PG comedy shows for the whole 5 days (each shown twice) when there are four R shows. I wonder if that may vary and maybe during summer they would swap and have more PG shows for more kids on board.
Jillewood, when you get back next week, can you please let us know about the PG comedy shows? And I would love to hear about your cruise overall. Have fun! I am jealous, we are a month away, but I am also not rushing it because that wishes the summer away!
I sure will--I plan on taking a lot of pictures too!

Oh, first cruise!!! How exciting. Just remember to relax and enjoy it all. Don't let negative reviews or comments about the Elation being an older smaller ship discourage you. I love her!!! We are sailing her again May 2018.
