  1. I have a question, what happens with the Code Red once the ship has docked in Buenos Aires and one leg of the cruise is over? Does the clock get reset? Or does the ship stay in Code Red if there are passengers staying on through Rio who are sick? I hope this clears up and no one else gets ill! I can't imagine how horrible it would be to look forward to your trip for a long time, just to fall ill and not leave your cabin (KNOCKING ON ALL THE WOOD AROUND ME).

    Thank you!

  2. Hello!

My husband and I are counting down the days until we leave for our Buenos Aires cruise next month! I was curious how boarding works when you have an overnight stay in the port. The previous cruises we have been on have all left the same day as boarding, so I don't know if this is different. Do we have to show up at noon embarkation time? Can we go later and try to avoid everyone getting on the boat at the same time? Thank you in advance!

Also, thanks to everyone on the Mariner posting about their trip. I'm loving reading the posts and can't wait to board!

  3. Thanks, all! Set my alarm early and gave Regent a call when they opened. They were able to see my reservations and added me to one waitlist we wanted, and select a tour that wasn't available last night. They will also send our reservations to our TA so we can have a copy since it's still not up on the site.

    Thank you again!

  4. Sigh, nevermind. I went to go add one of the ports that wasn't available after making excursion selections and receiving a confirmation email, but now the confirmation email and confirmation page says we have no excursions selected. When I go to update the ports, it shows all the ports as reserved and I can't make any selections on any of the port pages since I already have a reserved spot. Has anyone experienced this?

  5. Hello and help!

Excursions for my trip were available to reserve 8 minutes ago... Yet there are no free excursions listed under ANY of the ports, only Regent Choice. Is this normal? Are all the free ones reserved? My reservation shows that I am available to book the excursions.

    Thank you!

  6. I agree with Silver Sweethearts. I wouldn't personally take that suite because of potential noise issues.

If the OP would let us know which cruise he or she is considering, we could suggest some other suites.

Just out of curiousity, why does it matter what cruise it is when it comes to picking a suite if you know the boat? I know Travelcat2 asked the same thing when I posted a question about the Mariner (which we're doing the Buenos Aires to Rio next February). Do they change things around for different cruises?

Thanks for your help! My husband have cruised (separately) big boats before, but my in-laws (who are graciously letting us join them) have sailed Regent, including the Mariner before.

  7. Thank you both for your input! My husband is tall (6'2) so I will see if our TA is able to move us to a different room with a shower instead of bathtub.

Though on that note, I called earlier and she sounded surprised that we had been assigned a room (per the Regent website) since we had bought the rooms under guarantee. Is there a chance that Regent will change our room?

    Thanks again!

  8. Hello!

First time poster, (not a) longtime lurker... My husband and I are going on our first Regent cruise. We were assigned room 801 and after reading reviews of room 800 on the Voyager, I was wondering if anyone has had an experience in this room or had a room in a similar area? I know the complaint on the Voyager was that it was next to the AC and too loud. I'm not sure if this is the same for the Mariner? If so, does anyone have recommendations for an F deluxe suite?

Thank you in advance! I have enjoyed reading through this forum and everyone's experiences.
