Yeah agree that appalled is maybe too strong but I can't get my head around the decision. 

Can't see me doing another RCL cruise as they've went downhill since my previous cruises with them. 

Anyone else think it's poor form for the Jewel of the seas to not be showing the women's World Cup semi final? 

Guest services have said that it's too expensive! 

Whenever I raise it with other cruisers they are astounded because they just expect it to be shown. 

Anyone else appalled at this own goal from Royal Caribbean?

I didn't see a problem with your post. The topic is about value for money and as you rightfully say, even taking it easy, you could tip the balance to losing money by not taking the package. 👍

I was on Carnival last year in the Caribbean and bought their drinks package. They put a limit of 16 drinks a day on it and to be honest, I saw that as a challenge 🤣. 

I only failed one day over the week but did have to pay extra on a couple of other nights. 

I also tipped my server and so they didn't put them all through which was a bonus 😊

My cruise on the jewel this year (this Sunday) had the drinks package with voom as an incentive to book so we're all OK.

Most ports in Europe have shuttles if the City itself isn't walkable. They are usually just waiting for the passengers to disembark.

I like to get dressed up as does my other half so we're going to book the speciality restaurant when we get on. I like the idea of actually getting the family around a dinner table together for a full week!

Hi I am on this ship on the 9th July and have a load of questions...

My daughter is a vegan so is there food suitable for her?

Can we email the ship beforehand or do we just need to wait till we get there?

How many formal nights are there and what is the dress code?

On non formal nights in the main restaurant, what is the dress code for adults and teenagers?

I believe there are 2 shows at night ? What time should we be seated at for each performance?

We've been a few cruises before but the lack of information is sounding with this cruise!
