  1. Can anyone recommend a good limo company to provide transportation from the Los Angeles Cruise Port to Los Angeles International Airport? Experience with cruise ship transfers is that they are normally a large bus that will not leave until the bus is full, and bus drops off pax in one general airport location. Capability to text with driver to exchange locations or provide updates to driver, and vice versa, if running late.

  2. Will be taking the Island Princess on the 9 April Ocean-to-Ocean Panama Canal Cruise. Would appreciate any comments regarding the last refurb. Read some comments that there were still a lot of unfinished areas passengers saw during a cruise last January. Great photos. Thank you

  3. Great pictures. Thank you. We are thinking of doing the 9 Apr 2019 Panama Canal Ocean to Ocean starting in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and debarking in LA. What kind of state room do you have? We are planning on the a Club Class Mini Suite. We are used to sailing on MSC in Yacht Club with all inclusive drinks. We are not 'big' drinkers, but do drink a lot of water, coffee, soda, etc. I notice they have a 'soda' package which includes coffee. Would like to hear more about your experience with your stateroom and restaurant experiences. Thanks again for sharing.

  4. I also didn't know about these, the only ones that looked larger on the plans were the Handicapped ones on the corner. We booked this one, 16006, and it was really quite a bit larger than the other ones (we stole a peek into the other cabins when we walked past). I'll try to find a picture of the inside of the cabin. It was really big, but I think we sacrified the walk in closet. We didn't mind, there were four of us, so we were happy with the extra room.

We wanted YC for the March 8, 2018 MSC Divina Transatlantic, but Aurea was only available...suite 9007. Yesterday we called and were told one YC suite became available, 16006, and we jumped on it. Cannot find any pictures of the suite so would love if you could post one. And you mentioned the walk-in closet was sacraficed? I assume the larger bathroom with large walk-in shower took up the space? And any issues on water from the walk-in shower spreading onto the main bathroom floor? Any tips you learned would be greatly appreciated. Appears there is an 'enclosed' balcony almost like a sunroom off of the bedroom. Which is fine as bow would be pretty windy. Would appreciate all of your comments, tips, etc. for 16006 on the Divina.

  5. Large buses.

We actually did not purchase the transfer until departing from the ship. Guest Services said they had advertised the transfers in the daily newspaper but we never saw anything. Because of this we missed the deadline to purchase and were advised to speak with the gentleman who was in charge to see if he had space available. After debarkation, we were the bus area and found him. We had to wait about five minutes before finding out if we could buy the transfer or not. We also had to pay cash only (Euros) but the Guest Services had advised me of this beforehand. If we weren't going to be accommodated, our plan was to take the train to Milan.

Great information. But my Travel Agent and I have spent the past three months trying to make the reservation. Was reassured...after providing airline reservation for the day after debarkation, hotel reservation near the airport, and insuring they knew I wanted to take shuttle the day of debarkation...that reservation will show on booking record within a couple of weeks. Worse case...sign up first day of the cruise. Thanks again for the info. I owe you a cocktail. :D

  6. Booked on MSC Divina TA 8 March 2018 out of Miami and disembarking Genoa 28 March 2018. Flight reservations out of Milan-Malpensa Airport 29 March 2018 and was told by MSC rep on the phone that MSC has a transportation shuttle from the Genoa Cruise Port to Milan-Malpensa Airport. Cost is around $34 per person. Only caveat is that your flight cannot depart prior to a certain time to be guaranteed shuttle will get you there on time. However, a real bear trying to make reservation. Anyone done this before?

  7. Hi Everyone,

There will be 16 of us on the October 4th cruise doing a B2B on the Divina. Most of us are seasoned cruiser trying out a new cruise line. I am hoping to set up a roll call for the October 4th and Oct. 11th cruise.

Anyone interested??? We are leaving on a cruise for Spring Break on the Allure of the Seas for 2 weeks so will try and set something up after we get back.

My wife and I would love to participate and meet new folks. We are on the March 8, 2018 MSC Divina cruise from Miami to Genoa and also on CC's Roll Call list for that cruise.
