Leading up to a cruise I love reading everything on the boards, especially about the ship we’re sailing on - both good and bad. Really gets me excited for the next cruise. Hopefully I’m giving a relatively unbiased perspective of what we’re experiencing. Again, we’ve been on quite a few cruises and in general know what to expect. Any questions or comments are welcome.

You’re giving us a great overview! Rockumentary will be great fun(if you like music!), we wished it would be even longer. Agree about your experience with the massage, I hate feeling like I got beat up afterwards, so I preface my experience by telling her not to be so tough on me!

  2. We enjoyed 3 dinners at Tuscan Grill on Equinox last June. We should have gone there again instead of our 3rd dinner at Murano. Service at Tuscan was more attentive (3 different servers) than Murano.  Murano insisted that we be seated at the same table with the same waiter, which became tiresome, even with each of us having different entrees.

Tuscan was served in a timely fashion and is a much more relaxed and scenic venue.

    Photo from Tuscan.

We have been taking more land vacations instead of cruises.  We rented a house near the beach this winter in FL for a month, for about the Celebrity sky suite price for two for a 7 day cruise.  No brainer.

Question: did the house near the beach include food, cooking, maid service, laundry, bar waitstaff, liquor, or transportation to various islands?

Find a BT that you like and makes the drinks the way that you like them.   Grease their palm.   They will accommodate you

If you don’t have a package or want to upgrade do it with a BT that you like.  They get the 20% gratuity.

PLEASE DON’T DO IT WITH THE HAWKS THAT APPROACH YOU AROUND THE SHIP ON THE FIRST DAY.   They are chasing the gratuity and you will never see them again.

DO IT WITH SOMEONE THAT WILL BE SERVING YOU AND WILL ACCOMMODATE YOU.

    Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Can make the difference from a wonderful cruise to a tremendously wonderful holiday- which you may or may not remember!

There is nowhere on board to use cash. Pointless carrying a purse anywhere on board. Just your cruise card on a lanyard around your neck.

The only things I need with me while out of the cabin might be sunglasses, hand sanitiser and phone maybe.

There is zero requirement to have your purse with you.

The only time my wallet comes out of the safe is when I am going ashore.

My phone is usually on the bedside table, and my laptop on the main bench. Jewellery and cash etc (and passports if the ship hasn't taken them) in the safe.

No need to lecture us. Where would you suggest a woman keep her tampons if you insist that a purse is unnecessary?

What are you trying to accomplish?  I called the Captains Club number yesterday and the phone was answered immediately.

Answered immediately for me as well.
I called at opening time, 9:00 am.

  7. Rick, someone on another Edge thread described her success with booking dining on the Edge for a large group through Ivana, who said she was specifically working with Edge dining. Another person got some info through Ivana, but wasn't able to book what she needed. It may be worth emailing her with questions about Edge dining (if she is still with the company), if you have any.

The email address: Ivrhovec@rccl.com (Ivana’s email)

Thank you, I never did see an email address. Nor would I have known who to ask for

if I called. Sailing 2-3-19, Sky Suite.

  8. There was a drone on starboard side side of Liberty yesterday evening as we sailed from Roatan.

I was alarmed and dismayed by this invasion of privacy Nobody expects a camera to be aimed at his/ her balcony( at least not directly into it). Would it be any different if I reached around the balcony divider and took photos toward your cabin?

  9. I don't know if this is still the case' date=' but my husband over the years purchased 2 Citizen Eco drives off the ship. Better price than the ports, or at home. (Or online) [emoji846']

I, too have purchased Eco-Drives on ship. Both have malfunctioned and stopped working. The other 2 purchased in US still working. It's tempting on board with the displays, selection and prices, but I just have to resist.

  10. Yes..That's a fifth and you also get soda with it.. For cruise prices i think it's a good price..Remember soda is about $2-3 a can on board plus the cost of the bottle..If i can remember it's cheaper than Carnival bottles..I'm getting my decoration while i'm finding stuff on sale..

Beg to differ. A 'fifth' is approximately 750 ml.

  11. First off, stellar name you have. Second off, I never walk into any dinner without a libation. One never knows how long that intermission can be.

Liking your name better for this website.

You might consider 2 beverages upon entry.

Our 2nd time at Giovanni's, dinner took all of 2 hours, 90 minutes spent waiting for something more than bread. It was comped.
