  1. Just wondering,,which cabin is our. I am looking at the front of the ship and it show 3 rows of verandah cabins above the deck before the glassed in area. Which row up from the front deck is where cabin 5001 would be? My husband asked me and I really am not sure.

    Thanks again,

  2. Joanie,

No problem, definitely no offense. I sort of thought that the Neptune Lounge must be for the Deluxe and above rooma and for the SY room we get to call for help, but not have a room to go to. That is fine. I'm just thrilled to be going on the cruise. My husband is still in rehab from his knee replacement so this trip gives him plenty of incentive to get walking better. He will always some some walking issues, but the new knee should really make life easier. I just really appreciate all your help.

    Thanks again,

  3. Joanie,

I don't know what you mean we will have no access to Neptune Lounge, because truthfully, I don't even know what Neptune Lounge is. Could you please explain. The write up on Holland America's website also said 1 touch telephone concierge service. I hate to admit, I am not sure what that means either. We have also had rooms with verandah's but never had concierge service..

    Thanks again for your help.

  4. We have never sailed on any ship but Disney. We usually have the late dining seating. I wasn't sure when they asked me if we wanted the any time dining on HAL, so I said yes,now I am not sure if I should have or not. Do they have 2 dining times like Disney and do the dining times correspond with show times so we don't miss the shows? Not sure if we should call and change to a set time or not. Our Panama Canal Cruise on the Zuiderdam is April 10th.

This is a Christmas gift to my husband, so I am dying for Christmas to get here so I can tell him about it. He is currently in a rehab facility after having knee replacement surgery and is a little down about not being home for Christmas, so this should help cheer him up. We can do Christmas when he comes home, but I will tell him about the cruise on Christmas Day.

Thanks in advance for any advice,

  5. Thanks for you great information about the rooms. I did fill out the handicapped form for HAL and faxed it to them and got confirmation that they received it. For some reason, I thought our SY 5001 room was in the middle of the ship, but this has it at the back of the ship which is great. It looks like we will love the room. The location is just like the one we had on the Disney Magic in June.

I know I will have tons of questions, but not sure what they are yet.

Thanks for everything and when we get there, I will take plenty of pictures for you.

  6. I have probably missed how to do it, but we have room SY 5001 on the Zuiderdam which is an accessible room. We have been on a Disney with an accessible room, but this is our first HAL Cruise. We really have no clue how things work on HAL, but my husband always wanted to do a Panama Canal Cruise, so we should have a great trip. Any help, pictures, or advice are always appreciated.
