There is no rail from Anaheim to Long Beach. You have to take a regular train from Anaheim into Downtown LA, then switch to light rail from DTLA to Long Beach. You'd spend 3 hours on public transportation for a 35 minute ride on Uber or Lyft.

     Thank you!

  2. For those local or more familiar with the area - We are leaving from the port in Long Beach on 9/25. Coming in earlier in the week to spend a couple of days at DL first, and will probably just stay in the Anaheim area. We hoped to take the rail down to the port but I'm seeing estimates that it's still a 37-minute walk from downtown Long Beach station? Is that accurate? Would we be best to plan to go there and then uber, or should we look into some other transportation method on the morning of departure? I'm only moderately familiar with the metro system in LA and my husband hasn't ever been.

  3. I'm new here so please pardon me if I should be starting a new post instead of reviving an old one.

We are going to be on the Dream in October and my youngest twins are exactly 42 inches. I wondered if anyone had experience with a child who was right at the posted height, and if they were allowed to ride?

I know sometimes the posted height says one thing, but the actual measuring stick is a bit off. We have encountered this at Disney, for example, when we had the doctors measurement and had triple checked at home to know we were safe, only to find their posted ruler to be an inch or two higher. It will be fine if that's the case, but I'd rather know going in so my boys weren't disappointed.

    Thanks!

  4. They're staying with a friend a few blocks away. We were mostly hoping they could come and help us with luggage. We are traveling with 5 kids and a ton of suitcases because we are taking donations to a school on one of our stops, so getting all the bags there will be a bit of a pain. Just thought the extra adult hands would help. 🙂

  5. We are looking to stay at the HI Superdome pre-cruise and take a shuttle to the port. We have family who would like to meet us there and ride over to the port with us. Is it possible for non-hotel guests to ride that shuttle? They would expect to pay of course, but we didn't know if that was even an option. The hotel gave conflicting information so we are afraid to rely on that.

If it isn't possible to have extra people on the shuttle, will it be easy to hail a cab in that area in the morning? We are not familiar with NOLA.

    Thank you!
