  1. Here is the Boot and Bonnet pub beer list from Harmony December 2017. I'm going on Harmony again next week. Will post that beer list, but not expecting much better than this. I wish RC would at least have some IPAs at other bar locations besides the pub. I asked at the pub if they had a secret stash of 90 Minute, but no luck on that sailing.

  2. That's just embarrassing in 2018.
Yep. I did ask about the secret stash of Dogfish Head 90 minute, but they weren't stocked with it for that sailing. And the scheduled "beer tasting" event listed in the cruise compass was just sad. The selected beers were Kingfisher, Paulaner Salvator, Bass, Hoegaarden, and Stone IPA. Needed minimum of five for the tasting. Only three including myself showed up, so they cancelled it.

If RCI does indeed have a big contract with AB-Inbev as mentioned earlier, I wouldn't be shocked if they pull some from this list and replaced with Goose Island, Wicked Weed, and Elysian.

  3. Traveling to St. Thomas in June 2019 on RCI Harmony, which looks to dock in Crown Bay. As a craft beer fan, im looking for insight/advice. Anyone been to this brewery?

    - Is it worth a visit? Looks like they have a few diverse style choices. Do they pour flights?

    - Walkable from Crown Bay? Some older posts indicate it's not entrely sidewalked to Frenchtown from Crown Bay.

    - Are cabs easy to find from the brewey?

    Thanks

  4. Here's an example list from Boot and Bonnet pub. This was from the Dec 23rd, 2017 Harmony sailing. I really wish they had some IPAs on tap. Asked about any off-menu items like Dogfish head, but none on this sailing. Going on Harmony again in June 2019. d1f792d6277568e07ef77cfffc1927f2.jpg

  5. Noooooooo way.
Yep. Delta baggage drop line started outside on the sidewalk. They had to pull folks out of the line and move them ahead so they wouldn't miss their flights. We were early enough and bag drop line took about an hour for us.

  6. Final night menu. I had told our waiters early in the week how I enjoy curry. In addition to my entree, they brought me lobster curry and dal curry. Delicious, and I can't say enough great things about our wait staff, especially asst waiter Kujan. He always found me whenever I had lunch in the Windjammer and led me to the Indian dishes and provided recommendations and descriptions. But, I'm probably preaching to the choir here regarding RCCL's service.

  7. Thanks everyone for the quick responses. Another question..... Is "smart casual" wear allowed on formal night?
I've seen a wide variety of dress at dinner. Since this is a holiday cruise, most folks are dressed up and taking advantage of the professional portraits.

  8. I'm on Harmony now. Tonight is 2nd formal night serving lobster tail. Waiter told us to come earlier than usual. We are doing MTD and my brother booked it for us (group of 15). Sparse crowd last night as we left Falmouth. Waiter expects it to be packed tonight and we might miss sitting at our usual table. So, maybe overbooking/crowd control could cause someone to miss out. I'll see how it goes tonight.

  9. Was just in Labadee two days ago on Harmony. No passport or other gov't ID needed. Only sea pass card needed. Card works there for drinks just like onboard. I also took some cash to tip the guy who set up our beach chairs (about 10 from our family group of 15). Didn't buy anything at the craft market.

Was in Falmouth yesterday. Cabin attendant told us we needed passport to get off. This was incorrect. Only needed sea pass card. Ventured outside the port gates, and only needed sea pass card to get back inside (asked beforehand) and back onboard. Not sure if others have had a different experience, but I always ask beforehand.

I should add that I got off twice in Falmouth. Had passport first time per cabin attendant instructions. Left it in the safe second time but did take driver's license just in case. Just reporting here that neither were needed.

  11. Thanks. How has the Food and service been in the MDR?
I've enjoyed the food. Service has been great. I'm cruising as one of extended family group of 15. About 15 years since last cruise for DW and myself. First ever cruise for our boys 14 and 10. They are having a blast. 10 yr old now loves escargot. Asst. waiter Kunjan has been especially fun to interact with our boys. Great guy.
