  1. We were on Navigator for a 7 night cruise in March this year. There were 5 ice shows on the cruise - 7:00pm and 9:15pm on 2 days (day 3 and day 5) and 1:00pm on a sea day (this was day 6 or 7).

You do not need a reservation.

Doors open about 45 minutes before the show. Arrive early to ensure a good seat!

The Ice cast is so talented, and the show is amazing! One of the best ice shows of all the Royal Caribbean ships!

You may want to see it more than once!😜

We usually tip between $500-700 depending on what we do.  In-suite parties are a huge amount of work for the Genie and room attendants. We rarely do the parties anymore. They were really fun but became a lot of work for US too so we haven’t done one in a while.

For In-Suite parties, can you invite guests not staying in your suite and would food and drinks be included? Just wondering 🙂

  3. In September 2019, I cruised on the Symphony of the Seas where they had a vegan menu in the MDR. There were a few choices for each course and it was quite good. The food arrived together with everyone's order, without extra wait time. Also, you did not have to order a day in advance. On my past cruises (Freedom, Adventure, Mariner, Independence of the Seas), they would give you the menu the day before and you had to pre-order. This was a big improvement from previous cruises! Maybe the other ships are now doing this too?

I wish the Windjammer would label/list ingredients for their food. It is inconvenient to always ask the servers for the ingredients.  Although, in the Solarium on Symphony, upon asking about vegan food, the chef came out and took me around the whole buffet pointing out all the dishes that were vegan. That was great! He was very knowledgeable and took the guess work out of deciding what to eat.

  4.  You may be able to get dining tables near one another, but there are no tables for 30 people.

Depending on your interests, meeting for happy hour might be a fun idea. I can suggest Playmakers.   It is an open bar, on the boardwalk.

Another fun place to meet is at the pub on the promenade.

    Enjoy

    Thanks for the suggestions!

  5. How confident were you that they understood the difference between a vegan and a vegetarian?
Pretty confident. There was much conversation between the main server (who serves the wine and presents the food), and I indicated that I dont eat food from animals (no cheese, diary, meat, etc). The communication was definitely there - if one course had cheese the server would describe the dish before serving it and then serve mine and say here's yours with no cheese. Before serving everything, you are told all about it and how it was prepared, so at that point if they mention something you dont eat, just ask to make sure yours does not have that.

  6. I am a vegan and have been to Chefs Table twice. Be sure to let them know your dietary restrictions when you make the reservation so the chef can prepare. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to going back. The chef either would modify the dish everyone else was getting or else replace it with something else. I seem to remember some Indian dishes that were outstanding. I also enjoyed the wine and different wine with each course.
