    Ouch.

Well, I imagine you only booked at a rate you were willing to pay. It's always nice when the deal gets better eventually. Good luck on future "sales."

Thanks. I'll be interested to see the Oct/Nov 2021 prices when they are released. Hope to find a deal.

Yup. I just checked my three B2B2B cruises in the South Pacific in 2021, and the apples to apples prices were about 60% higher.

It does pay to check, however. My late 2020 cruises were a slightly to significantly better deal on the Veteran's Day sale.

I hate that it takes this much vigilance to make sure we are getting the most for our money. I'm grateful that my travel agent checked the 2020 ones for me before I even saw the email about the sale.

Unfortunately for our sailing the Veteran's Day sale was also nearly 2k more as well.

a 6' railing with chairs beside them .. that works well.. Let's stick with common sense. If  a person wants to go over board they will find a spot

That was sarcasm Goldmember :classic_biggrin:.  Not having all these failsafe measures in place is how we weed out those lacking in common sense.      Certainly not pertaining to this tragic loss of this poor little soul.

Yes they will be forced to take that action as a way to prevent this from happening again.

Their own investigation will determine that they HAVE to have them closed.  Bear in mind I am not holding

anyone responsible I just know how internal accident investigations work having done many of them.

Only seems fitting to extend the glass to at least 6' in all public areas where there is a railing including balcony cabins to prevent overboard situations. I think safety catch nets might be in order too. Or just a little common sense works wonders too.

Great to hear!! 👍 Thanks so much for posting!

The chopped Sky Lounge on my recent Reflection cruise was my only complaint.  Too small a venue, always crowded and I was especially sad to hear the rest of the S class would be experiencing the same.

Glad to hear Equinox dodged that bullet, at least for now....

Couldn't agree more about the Sky Lounge needing to stay full size. I'm no Travolta, but I also happen to like Quasar on the Equinox for that late night alternative. We've had some good times in there.

Honestly, I have been LOL while reading this thread.  It also lmakes me think a lot about "the things people say to make a point" or whatever...really interested in meeting Captain Kate, along with her Sphinx cat.  Furthermore, maybe I will wear my red bottom shoes too, but I have plenty of time...I am not kidding about the shoes!

Oh boy!!!!!!! You better rock those red bottom Christian Louboutin's!!!!!!

Dear CB, DW of mine pointed that out to me on the cruise, those iconic red bottom shoes. I, of course could not see even with my glasses on. Funny how women notice certain things that men could care less about.

I'm a dude and I picked up on those red bottom soles right away. :classic_biggrin:

Same number of decks, but not the same amount of space on decks 14 and 15.

Reflection has a full deck 14, while all the other S-class ships have large open spaces on deck 14. On Reflection you can walk from end to end on deck 15 while on the other S-class ships there is no connection between the forward and aft sections of deck 15.

Reflection is 6 feet longer, can carry 194 more passengers, but has 5 less crew space!

Reflection is also 2' wider than Equinox.

I wouldn't know how much time a captain has to spare but my humble impression of her is that she's a very high energy person. Maybe she's just better at time management because of it.

And she wins the shoe award. I don't recall ever seeing her wear another brand of shoes than Christian Louboutin's during the entire 11 night cruise. Classy lady with good taste.

I think they are trying to move to less plastic, hence the water cartons instead of bottles. We had the premium package and had Evian bottles provided to us.

I was on the 6/29 sailing as well - it was awesome!! Probably one of my favorite cruises even though it had my least favorite ports.  The crew were all so friendly and engaging.  I have never seen such visible senior officers - and they kept asking if we were enjoying our trip/experience and seemed to really want feedback. Loved the cruise director, Marten.  He seemed to be everywhere.  I have never been one to really care who the officers/cruise directors were on a ship... after this experience I can see why people ask.  This is the first time my husband and I have had so much interaction/connection with them and it really made an impact with us.

Our Cruise Connections meet and greet was fun - we enjoyed meeting and speaking with other CC people 🙂  And the Captain stressed how importantly they view this board and our input/thoughts.

This was hands down my favorite Celebrity Cruise.

Agree on the staff and overall experience. We did an 11 night Southern Caribbean last November and had such a great time we are doing the exact cruise itinerary this coming October.

You did not mention the milk cartons of water being served to passengers. It was interesting to try to get the square bottoms into the round holes in the arms at the Theater.

Have they completely done away with water bottles even for the premium beverage package?

    Hello everyone!

I know there a quite a few threads regarding the dry dock of Equinox. However, I didn't find answers on my questions - maybe because some threads are very long with dozen of pages. I apologize if this has been answered before.

    1. Did the Aqua class staterooms get any upgrades or changes or only suites? From what I read, the balcony furniture changed for all staterooms and there might be new mattrasses.

    2. Any changes to the Spa?

    3. Blu - new menu maybe?

Thanks in advance for your answer!

    Ingo

This pic was updated on X site for the EQ. From what I have read from others experiences the AQUA and Concierge are updated with new drapes, carpet, mattresses, linens, art, etc... This should sum up the new look you can expect for Aqua.

Have there been any updates as to which decks the cabins received the "refresh"?  I have seen several photo's in standard verandah where it appears nothing was done.  I will be disappointed if the cabin for our February 2020 cruise has not been refreshed.

I wondered the same thing. From the posts it appears the Aqua and Concierge have all been done. That is the only thing I have seen that looks to be for sure.

On our sailing, the  (not so) Silent Disco was in the Grand Foyer on Friday night.  Kind of annoying with so many people at guest services trying to settle their accounts.

And the "(not so)" silent disco is what makes it.

    Quasar is still there.
