  1. As someone said above.  The certificate you recieved is not for any cruise you want but for any of the cruises listed on the back of certificate. If you choose not to use on one of the cruise on the back there is a trade in value that can go toward the cruise of your choice. I know the inside certificates have a $500 trade in.  Also I dont believe a regular royal reservation agent can book this which is where the confusion probably was. You needed to call the casino royale number to book.

We just came off the Serenade and one of our cruising friends is sailing on March 30th and asked the host if the points from that cruise will count in this Prime year based on cruise starting date or for next year since the cruise ends after April 1st.  She was told they count for the prime year when the cruise sails (this year).  If that thinking is correct, I would think you would get the wifi for the entire cruise since is starts this "plan year" and you are Signature.

I was told the opposite.  I sail march 31st and because the cruise ends after April 1st, the points earned on this  cruise  would be for the next cycle which would begin April April 1st 2020-march 31st 2021

this promo is perfect for craps.  after watching how they are used last week, i wish i'd bought a bunch of them for my future cruises. i didn't realize before getting onboard that you are allowed to use them for every bet, not just the ones with even odds.  so you can use the promo chips for all of your bets and presses and your winnings you take in real chips. works great since you know from the beginning all your bets will be lost at some point.  this deal gives you extra chips to play with and you get 4.5% back on your credit card. i bet it wouldn't be hard to run through 20-30k in chips in a week.

The problem is you can only buy 1 package per person so you wouldnt br able to run through 20-30k promo chips. Biggest package is 2k and I went through them in an hour playing blackjack

  4. Went through the 2200 promo chips in about an hour.  Played $25 hands.  Got $2000 worth In green $25 chips and the $200 free chips in red $5 chips.  At the end of the promo chips I cashed in $2150 real chips so a $150 profit.  It was worth it to me and easy to get rid of the promo chips.  The lowest blackjack table was $15 min the entire cruise, I saw craps get down to $5.  As soon as I got the chips I kept $500 to play and took the $1700 to the room safe.  I went through the $500 quick and just brought the rest down after that.  Was never worried about getting mugged lol as someone said I was more worried about dropping the chips.  Just make sure every time you win you put the real chips aside and keep playing the promo chips.

There’s no way that is correct, right?  You’d have everyone on the ship working the system to get the free promo money and scratcher for free.

It has been confirmed by someone onboard with the promotion that the chips will be all promo chips ex: your buy the $2000 promo, all 2000 will be promo chips. I don't know why we are still going back and forth about this.

    All,

This is "freeplay" chips, and should not be redeemable for cash.  My big question is how are the chips replaced when I win or push.  If I win, is my freeplay chip replaced with a cashable chip.

Would highly recommend folks checking out the Wizard of Odds web site.  He describes different chips, and their value.  In this case, I believe he refers to these RCL freeplay chips as "non-negotiable":

Final thoughts.  Years ago, I was able to buy chips on my seapass card, which went against the credit card.  The onboard casino's stopped this practice, since the extra 3% paid to the credit card companies ate into their profits/margin.  I think it unlikely that RCL would off up 5% profit (additional free play chips), plus incur the cost of the credit card when purchased ahead of time pre-cruise (on the credit cards).  These freeplay chips are definitely not as valuable as real cashable chips.

That said, I will be cruising on the Brilliance in 8 days out of Tampa, and will buy the smallest amount to better understand the ramifications.

If you win you will be paid in real cash chips and your promo chips will stay on the table for the next game/hand

Theres nothing wrong with that. Since you cant take the promo chips home, you might as well bet table max. You have nothing to lose at that point. You can only win. There's something flawed about this. I thought promo bets are one time wagers only. Once you bet it, shouldn't it be removed?

I dont understand what you're saying. You ate paying for the promo chips with your own money. So if you get the $2000 in promo chips that you pay for and the $200 bonus in promo chips, $200 wouldn't be the table max. The other $2000 is your money you already spent. The promo stays if you win the hand and gets taken away if you lose. They expect you to spend hours in the casino to get rid of the $2000 promo chips you have. I guess if you had your 2000 promo chips the last night you would have to go all in and either get 2000 back in chashable chips or lose it all

My question is if you win a hand on top of receiving real chips for the win do they replace your promotional chips with real chips or do they leave the promotional chips on the table.

If they leave the promotional chips on the table for your next hand then in reality you are playing through more than $2000 in promotional chips.  In order to only play through the original $2000 they should be replacing the promotional chips with real chips after each win.

They pay you in real chips and leave the promotional chips on the table for your next hand if you win 20181201_163707.thumb.jpg.41d654c23bcb19415ebb11f129bb2fc0.jpg
