  1. ^^^This. I cannot say it enough and it drives me bonkers to see people say that if you don't drink 5-6 alcoholic drinks a day then it is not "worth it." For roughly $55 you get unlimited nonalcoholic beverages to included sodas, specialty coffees, bottled waters, bottled teas, energy drinks, powerades, milk shakes, virgin drinks, etc. AND 15 alcoholic beverages a day. My husband is not a big drinker, he will have two or maybe three mixed drinks in an entire day on a cruise but he will drink a lot of diet sodas, bottled water, the occasional milk shake and powerade and will definitely take a water or powerade off the ship at each port and one to bed each night. The Bubbles package will not give him the variety of drinks he would like but the Cheers package will. I on the other hand, will start the day with a mimosa or bloody mary and have mojito or four by the pool :D and a couple glasses of wine with dinner in addition to the bottles of water I will have between most of those drinks and the bottled water or tea I will take off the ship at each port and to bed with me at night. The package is not just for alcohol!!! Okay, off my soapbox now.

Yes! We are getting Cheers package. It appears to be well worth it.

  2. Here is my coffee bar experience on the Magic Sept 3rd thru the 13th.

    White chocolate Frap w/ $4.95

shot of Baileys (Mollys Irish Creme) $6.95

    total $11.90

    and so so so Yummy!!!!

I like this. This is what we do too, both of us. Its looking like, from what I've seen and based off what we normally drink, We'll make our money on Cheers after 5ish drinks. Plus I am finding that $40 glass champagne.

  3. Hi, we are debating the Cheers package and have a few questions.

    1. We want to try the more expensive wines - 50 dollars a glass is the limit?

    2. Husband wants to try the higher end shots - included?

    3. We do drink bottled water and specialty coffee. Can I take my husband's sail and sign card and bring him coffee back to the room?

    4. The reason we are thinking of this opposed to the premium wine package is to try different wines that we normally wouldn't pay for at home.

Great questions: I'd love to know the answers too.

  4. Mainly what's being discussed is FLAVORED creamers such as hazelnut, french vanilla etc. Carnival only has milk and half and half. I too, like the "foo foo" flavored creamers and I buy the individuals at Walmart for less than $5 a box of 24. I bring two because the coffee is STRONG and it takes a few to get the desired flavor. I put them in gallon ziplocks to take up less space and they're protected if one or two bust (has never happened yet).

Yes, flavored creamers, exactly, thank you and thank you for the tip on how to pack them.

They are just plain cream and not flavored! The coffee is too bitter for me so I have to use 2 Hazelnut liquid creamers to make it drinkable.

I don't love plain creamer/milk unless it steamed like for a latte etc...

  5. I bring 3 small bottles of coffemate liquid vanilla creamer for a 7 day cruise. they are a dollar at the dollar store. No need to cool until they have been opened. never had a problem getting them on before.

    Thats great to know.

I just got off the Breeze 2 weeks ago, and I ordered room service coffee every morning to enjoy on the balcony. I could never finish the first cup, even with the half and half they brought. My coffee is usually a caramel color but I was making it almost white because the coffee was so bad. Lido coffee was a bit better but not much.

I didn't bring my coffee mate individual creamer because people on here said the coffee was fine with their half and half. Lies. I will be bringing my own creamer next cruise.

I am for sure bringing my own creamer. Disney's coffee was horrible and I cannot imagine Carnival's is much better.

  6. I love French vanilla creamer and have recently found a healthy alternative which I LOVE and plan on taking onboard. Has anyone ever tried Vanilla NutPods? Shelf stable 11.2 oz carton with 22 TBS servings. It does need to be kept cold after opening. I plan on keeping it on ice, as our cabin does not have a refrigerator.

Never heard of them! Where did you find them?

If you are looking for flavored coffee creamer nestle makes one that doesn't have to be refrigerated and is concentrated and comes in small bottles https://www.amazon.com/Coffee-mate-French-Vanilla-Strength-Creamer/dp/B00SV11EF0/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1506008306&sr=8-1&keywords=nestle+coffee-mate+2go

We take these all the time when we cruise

    Thank you!!!!

  7. I've seen the sugar free individuals but not the fat free.

I see the sugar free all over too a various hotels, work, and such but never the ff.

I've never heard of putting butter in coffee. What exactly does it do? You use the butter along with the cream?

Me either. I love butter but never thought of it in my coffee. Its probably wonderful and not something I need to have in my body or coffee daily.

  8. My husband is a partner of almost 7 years. High five! We've been building a stash of via coffee and refreshers to bring. On at least one of our first two cruises, we brought a press with us. Haha we're relaxing a little this time.

Thats awesome! Both of our daughters are partners, one was a shift but stepped down. She said it was too stressful but she was also 19 at the time.

I was thinking about a press but it sounds like a lot of work. Haha!

  9. I usually get coffee by room service every morning. I bring the small liquid concentrated creamers on every cruise with me in my checked luggage. They seam to have many flavor options. And I think the coffee is decent.

Ok cool. I am going to try it. If its terrible, we'll buy coffee.

The ship's free coffee is fine if one isn't a coffee snob. If you are one, feel free to buy coffee from the coffee bar. It's your money. Yes, you can bring coffee creamer.

I don't think I am a coffee snob but Disney's was like brown sour water, horrible. Hoping Carnival's is better.

  10. My husband is a partner of almost 7 years. High five! We've been building a stash of via coffee and refreshers to bring. On at least one of our first two cruises, we brought a press with us. Haha we're relaxing a little this time.

Woot! Love all the partner perks! Does he manage? Mine is in SMT currently.

  11. Just so you know, it doesn't matter if the bottles are glass or plastic. No bottles of any kind are allowed. Only cans or the little individuals. Wouldn't want you to get there and be disappointed.

Great, thank you for the clarity. I would hate to show up and have it thrown out.

If you bring boxed wine it will have to be the equivalent of two 750 ML bottles so 1.5 litres. Assuming there are two of you travelling. I will not personally attest to having been able to do this, but I have read other posts where people said they were allowed to do this.

    Candi

This is good news! We extra an extra glass by bringing a box. We are still undecided about getting Cheers but I'm leaning towards it.

  12. It is per person, but you may want to double check about the "box wine" as the rules specifically state "Bottle" wine. "Cans & Carton" are only listed for non-alcohol beverages.

I've never taken boxed wine and friends have only brought bottles in the past. I have had a friend that makes her own bottled wine in screw capped bottles and heat seals the cap and had had no problem

    ----

A small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice, and milk) packaged in cans or cartons may be brought onboard on embarkation day and must be in the guest's carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less per person.

Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board with the following exception - At the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day only, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring one 750 ml bottle of sealed/unopened wine or champagne per person in their carry-on luggage. All liquor, beer, other forms of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages outside of this exception are strictly prohibited in both carry-on and checked luggage and such items will be confiscated and discarded and no compensation will be provided.

    Thank you! :wine-glass:

  13. Same! DH the coffee phreak has totally addicted me to hazelnut and for the last 2 cruises he/we packed those liquid individuals...in big ziplock baggies just in case of any leakage, tho so far they have held up really well.

    (y) I am so glad I started this thread. Not sure why but individuals and powder did not occur to me.

  14. Coffee is okay and I do bring the International Delight singles on every cruise with no problem.

I take them out of the box and in a Tupperware container so they don't get squished

    Great tip on the Tupperware!

And yet you are here. On a thread about coffee creamers. The mind boggles.

    Same.

  15. if you are talking about the bottles of creamer, they are not allowed. No bottles are allowed. I would take the individual ones or the powdered ones. there is a good chance if you take a bottle of the creamer, it will be taken and thrown out.

I meant plastic bottle not glass but I'm going to try to find the individuals.

One bottle of wine per person, not two.

Thank you! What about boxed wine? I found a boxed Malbec that is pretty decent.
