I have a mid-ship balcony cabin booked on the Bliss 10244. Does anyone know how to tell if the bed will be by the balcony window or by the closet?

You don't have to make reservations in the MDRs, but it is usually recommended for large parties on the larger ships.

Know one knows for sure, but IMO it’s their attempt to get you to bid more than minimum. Bid an amount (x2) that you’re comfortable with.

When I look at the upgrade bids, the first screen says $500 pperson, but when I open it the slide scale is at $1000 pperson. Does that mean the current lowest bid is at $1000?

Why even bother with a cruise then? Just go to some AI resort somewhere.

Because going thru the Panama Canal is on my husbands bucket list, we usually do go to All Inclusive Resorts.

We are taking a 2 week cruise to the Panama Canal in Nov. 2018 on the NCL Bliss, and are very excited. We took this cruise specifically to see the Panama Canal, as this is on my husbands bucket list.

My question is, I am not very excited about any of the ports stops on this cruise:

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Manzanillo, Mexico

Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala

Puntarenas, Costa Rica

Cartegena, Columbia

Do some people just stay on the ship and enjoy the ship the entire time? Will they service the "FREE COCKTAILS" packages during the time the ship is in port?

No, day passes can not be purchased in advance. They're only available if the cruise-length passes don't sell out.

I have a question on tips. If you get points and change them to inboard credits for your cruise, can you use them for tips at the end of the cruise?

I am new to NCL and have only been on 3 cruises, the last one being over 10 years ago. My question is, if we stop at a port that I do not want to get off the ship to see, what will remain open on the ship? Will everything be as normal, restaurants and lounges, pool service, etc. be available all day? Or, will it be limited services? Will we still be able to use our UBP and Speciality Dining package during this time? Any help from the cruise experts would help greatly.

Can men wear nice shorts with collar shirts and closed toe shoes to dinner? I have read many posts and what to wear from Norwegian but I am still unclear. We are cruising to Panama and my husband likes to wear nice shorts on tropical vacations for dinner. Can those of you that have cruised NCL please share your experience.

When you say bottled water is not included, do you mean Perie bottled water or regular old bottled water is not included? If it is regular bottled water, where do you get regular water on the ship to drink? I like to have a glass of ice water next to my bed every night.

I am new to NCL and the last time I cruised (about 12 years ago) there was no UBP at all. We got the UBP included in our Panama Canal cruise for 11/2018, but I am not clear on what is included or not.

1. I think I understand that all cocktails over $15.00 will have an upcharge and you pay the price difference plus gratuity on the difference, is this correct?

2. Is soda, speciality coffee and bottled water included in the UBP?

3. It does not cover beverages delivered to your room by room service, correct?

4. Are alcoholic cocktails included in the UBP in ALL restaurants: dining room, speciality restaurants, pool side?

Any help you can provide will be appreciated, trying to get a full understanding of this package.
