I read else where there is a Royal Caribbean tip card? I have been reading here for awhile and never heard of this. Can someone tell me what it is? We have pre paid our tips in advance in the past. What does a tip card do?

I read one comment that said something like, you wait on line at home for a restaurant, so what is the problem with waiting for a restaurant on Quantum? Not verbatim, but to that effect. My question is, if you have a reservation, why should you be waiting? We are not fussy or picky and we are patient. We would not mind waiting a few minutes to be seated, but I have read posts where people waited 30 minutes to be seated, but they had a reservation. Now this confuses me. I might be off base, but is a 30 minute wait acceptable when you have a reservation?

I was just told by a member on another thread who was on Quantum of the seas that she was able to walk up to any of the comp restaurants between 6PM and 7PM and be seated.

1. While on Deck (and/or Solarium), are there waiters who take drink orders and deliver them? Yes, and the loungers have little "Quench my thirst" flags to raise for service.

Is this only on Quantum of the seas? I don't think I ever saw this on any other ships. We haven't been on many, but the ones we have been on, I do not remember seeing these.

Really, to each their own. There will always be the good and the bad. Four people go the same place the same night and all have different opinions.

This is exactly what we did every night, except for one night when we went to Chops. But for the complimentary restaurants, we would just walk up each night between 6:00-7:00 and got in each time with no problem whatsoever. I had previously tried 3 times (before the cruise) to book reservations and they kept disappearing. So I hoped for the best! lol And it was fine getting in at those times, no problem. We ate at all the complimentary restaurants with no wait.

Wow. wow. wow. I agree. Best review of Quantum I have read so far.

We stay away from buffets in general. How good can the quality be of food that sits and remains in chafing dishes? I am interested in hearing about the other food on board and what the favorites are.

I find this ifly a very exciting concept. Did everyone enjoy it? Is one minute enough time to enjoy it I guess I am asking.

We are just thinking about booking Quantum and reading many mixed reviews. I want to ask those that were able to walk up to any of the restaurants without a reservation what time they did this? We have not yet booked because we were looking to hear about the ship first. We are okay with having to make reservations before we leave, but if you can also just walk up and be seated, that is a score. Thanks for any additional details from those who walked up and were seated at the complimentary restaurants.

We are just getting excited about this new ship and trying to figure out if we are going to book before it goes to china. Thank you for your candid and honest review and all your view points we will take into consideration.

Note, these are (or used to be) big in the UK and the OP is from the UK. Here is America we have a different name for this undergarment. However, I don't care for the name so I will not post it here.

Why would anyone wear that into any restaurant? Land or sea, UK or USA that is not any kind of shirt for a restaurant.

Well it was a sad Sunday no Explorer out of Cape Liberty. But tomorrow morning we will have Quantum. Looking forward to watching the webcam tomorrow. Unfortunately I can't come to the party morning.
