I was on Magic last week. I did not plan on using internet so did not buy. But in the middle of trip I needed it. So I bought the middle daily plan .It was $15 charge on my bill . This worked for me because I just needed to send and receive emails. So if I were you I would buy on ship.

Just back from cruise with my niece who just turned 9. We were on 6 deck and she stepped up on bottom of railing trim to peek over at lobby deck.It did put her high enough to lean over somewhat. I have a fear of heights so I freaked and asked her to step down. I can see how quickly this could happen. I feel so bad for her family.

Just back from trip on Magic. The hub was not very dependable for me. Sometimes worked sometimes I would get message 12 hours later. For the money I guess that was not bad. I ending up buying the middle internet pkg by day toward the end. And for me it was worth it.

Keep in mind, people getting on early/mid/late keeps the boarding moving. if everyone wanted to get on late, lines would be awful. same with getting on early.
So true... I totally understand the reasons now ! Will some people be able to get on before 12:30 ? I saw on my email from Carnival yesterday that no boarding until then. I hope thats not true the sooner the better it what I believe now :)

For the record that was not me asking John H about early boarding.

I can’t help but wonder why anyone would obsess over this. You don’t want to board early? Fine - pick a later time that suits you. What do you care when the rest of us board? It’s not like we’re dragging you onto the ship with us?

Couldn’t believe when I saw this on John Heald’s page earlier. Have we heard from KayKay18 since the first post?

I did not obsess about it. It was a honest question. This is new to me and I was curious. I got some good answers. Also I am not the one who asked John Heald anything !

I saw it too and thought why on earth would you bother him with this when we have more than sufficiently answered it out here......but whatever......
That was not me.I was surprised when I read that. I never asked him anything. I understand now why people get on board early.

I think is the aerosol..it can start a fire....you can get good hairspray without it

Would you have been happier with two sea days? If only two ports were available in the east and the ship could not make it to the west?

I think that would be ok but from what I read here I don't think many others would.. But doesn't matter I moved on and started learning about the ports we are going to.
-
Of course not, but Every port on the eastern side was not "destroyed"

So I wish we could cancel but we can't.....Driving 9 hours to take a ship to the same place I could have drove 1 hour and taken another ship to.....The Magic had better great. I am having a hard time finding things to do at this ports......deep breath
-
Well I am sad. I have never had any wish to go to any of the ports:hearteyes::mad:

Thanks, all good answers. I have never taken a cruise so I have never looked at it that way.

My checking in time is 12:30-1:00 and that seems fine to me. But I would like to know why anyone would want to check in early. If your room will not be ready until 1 or later. Why get on early.

I am taking my first cruise in October on Carnival Magic. I keep reading how you will have to wait until your cabin is ready on embarkation day. My question is How will I know it is ready ?

I am curious. If this was sold out in May ,how did I get a reservation in August ?

😀my sister has a Jeep and she gets lots of ducks. I day I was sitting in the passenger seat in a parking lot, someone walked up and handed me a duck…….. before then I thought they just left them on the bumper.
