Athens is very easy to do on your own. Walk from the port of Pireaus to the train (metro does not go to port). Get your 1.45 euro ticket and get off in Monistriaki. Make a right out of the train station and take the hop on/hop off "choo-choo train) around the site (six euros). Traffic is a nightmare, the train is great, travel light, and secure your belongings.

I am heartbroken. We lost a true friend today. I called him VOR (Voice of Reason) because of his sensible way of bringing topics back into perspective. We were blessed to have spent the past weeks with him. He loved his Betsy like no other! Gone too soon. RIP Don.
