  1. Hi,

My whole family (all 22 of us) is taking our parents on an Alaska cruise next July for their 60th anniversary.  Is there a subtle way that I can ask RCL to do something special for them on this huge milestone celebration?   I've never done this before and don't know 1) if it's possible to request such thing, and 2) how to ask RCL without sounding demanding or entitled. 🙂   Any tips would be helpful.  Thank you in advance.

  2. We'll be on Adventure of the Seas next month to the Caribbean, and our extended family are planning an Alaska cruise (on Ovation of the Seas) in July 2019 for our parents' 60th anniversary.   With the current BOGO 60% off on 2nd passenger, we're thinking of booking cabins now to get the sale.  Here are my questions:

    1. If we were to book the rooms now via an agency (not through RCL), what if in November we find a better deal while onboard.....can we transfer the reservation from the agency to RCL?  What are my options in getting the best deal for our family of 5?

    2. Is $1450 (tax included) a good price for a balcony w/ obstructed view cabin?  (7 days Alaska)

    Thank you.

  3. Need help from all cruisers who are familiar with Labadee. One of our ports of call in November is Labadee and this will be our first time stopping by this private island. My question is...which beach should we go to for easiest access to the beach? Our teenage son is physically disabled (he can only walk with a walker) and we'd like to just relax and swim where the water is calmer and a short walk from the chair to the water. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  4. We always book future cruises while on board .We transfer the booking to our TA afterward.

May I ask how you transfer the booking to the TA after booking onboard? Our cruise is in November and although I have never booked while onboard I would like to try it after hearing of the OBC. Thank you.

  5. My daughter wants to swim with the dolphins at one of the ports we'll be visiting on our cruise in November, I was looking through the list of excursions available in St. Maarteen and most (if not all) of those sites are saying they're closed and to check back in early 2018. I'm guessing this is due to the hurricane. Has anyone done this type of excursion recently? I'd like to know in case this is still true then I'd have to plan the dolphin excursion at another port (possibly St. Kitts). Thank you.

  6. Here's in a nutshell of what was offered for $85 (1 adult + 2 kids):

Trip Cancellation Up to 100% of Trip Cost (max coverage: $100K)

Trip Interruption Up to 150% of Trip Cost (max cov: $150K)

    Missed Connection $800

    Travel Delay $800

    Emergency Medical and Dental $25,000

    Emergency Medical Transportation $500,000

    Baggage Loss/Damage $1,000

    Baggage Delay $300

    Should I look elsewhere?

  7. I never purchased travel insurance before and today I asked my travel agent to send me a quote to see if I should consider purchasing one this time around. The cruise is for 8 nights to the Caribbean on Adventures of the Seas this November 2018. The quote I got was $85 for myself and my 2 kids (11, 14), and it's with Allianz. Does that sound reasonable? The price seems low to me but I'm not familiar with travel insurance so I can't tell if it's a good deal or not. Should I get it?
