How long did it take once you spent over the amount you needed to get the email from Amex confirming?

I did not get the email after spending the $1,500 as others have reported.  The charges are still pending on the AMEX app, I called AMEX they said it should get applied when the charges post.  It is possible that since I spent the first $300 last week immediately after I accepted the offer, and since todays transactions aren’t over 1500 , it hasn’t triggered the email.  I cruise a week from tomorrow so hopefully everything gets straightened out.

If you have an AMEX that is offering this deal I wouldn't wait too long, as they tend to disappear

If you do have one and are just thinking about it I would "ADD TO CARD"  to lock in the deal you don't have to use it and if you do use it you have to before Dec 31st.

Thank you, Yes I added the offer as soon as I saw this post.  Now trying to figure out how how to spend $1500 to get the $500 back, and the only thing we haven't paid for is our Royal Up Bid.

Anyone know a work around this....

Have it on 2 cards , one i'll do cruise planner items on black Friday BUT

went in to make $1500 payment to the only cruise I have booked and

My big box TA doesn't accept Amex

I'm so bummed, anyone have any ideas? 😁

I would move your booking to a different TA, simply put they don’t take the CC you want to use

  4. Anyone who has had a royal up bid accepted, how exactly does the charge appear on your credit card, I’m trying to see if a royal up payment can qualify for the Amex offer discussed on a different thread that still appears on the first page.  Thanks in advance!  If I can use this offer for royal up I can increase my bids by the amount of the offer to increase my chances

  5. I accepted the offer for the 500 off 1500, unfortunately I had made final payment 2 months ago.  I do have Royal Up bids, any reports of this working with Royal Up?  Is it worth increasing bids knowing this credit may be there….I have a couple of bids in that total above $1,500, I would increase each bid by $250 pp if I knew it worked to increase my odds but as it is I won’t My cruise is in 2 weeks, I will report back if it works, but I am hoping someone here may have the answer so I can increase

  6. This is pure SPECULATION on my part and I know there is no answer yet, but I have been wondering at what point Royal Caribbean and all the other cruise lines for that matter will no longer consider you "Fully Vaccinated" once the booster is approved and available.  I know most people can't even get the booster as of yet.  But I would imagine at some point the CDC will "recommend" a booster to cruise.

On Sept Nassau sailing - 1st time on RCL although done many others.

    My questions:

    1.  I got the 1 day pass for about $110 pp two months. Ago.  See now (17 Aug), price is $161 pp and, if I recall, has varied every few weeks.  Does the price change often and if it goes down by, say, $15, can i cancel and rebook or get refund/

    2.  I just got some more OBC ($400).   Can I book the Beach Club 1 more day (we have 2 days there) on line and use my OBC.  Or, if not, can I book on board and use it?

    3.  At $320 per day for 2 people, seems sort of pricey.   Are prices on board cheaper, same, or higher than booking now?   I wonder if they adjust if not too many people buy?

    Thanks

For my cruise on Oasis in October, I have been checking most days since July 3 and the price has not gone below 161 per person.  Although it looks wonderful, For me, I don't believe it is worth that much especially with the reduced capacity on the ships.  If it ever drops below $100 again I will definitely book it.

Oasis stack was always retractable.  When it was built, the only way to get that ship out to the ocean from the shipyard/builder was under the Great Belt bridge in Denmark that it needed to be retracted for.  It was meant to be retracted just for that, but it's always been retractable.   Every ship in the class was built that way. It wasn't a drydock change.

Do any of you really think Royal doesn't know that the ship will fit?  Seriously?

I think everyone knows it will fit under the bridge and they are just having a little fun!

I tweeted them about the checking availability dialogue and they told me (direct quote) “I'm sorry about that. Please note RoyalUp is by invite only. IT is aware of this and is looking to correct. If this continues past 8/4, feel free to reach out to us again.”

My reservation started working for RoyalUp shortly after.

Mine still is stuck on checking availability

We weren't clear on what to do with this new cancellation policy becasue we had just cancelled on Tuesday to receive 50% FCC and 50% refund to credit card for our April 12 cruise.

The online statement didn't really explain this well

So we phoned, even though the notice said not to call.

The phone rep said they can not do any cancellations by phone and you have to fill out the online form.

When we asked for clarification on this because we had already cancelled - she advised to fill out the form using our booking number for the cancelled cruise. Good thing we had this written down and in emails, becasue the cruise was already gone from the personalizer.

The indication we were given is they will redo the cancellation so that we now get 100% cash back and a 25% FCC on our account.

No refunds or FCCs had posted yet, so we still aren't sure if we will see this in two stages or if they will halt the previous cancellation in time to do this in one go.

But based on the info from the phone rep - we do now expect to get 100% refund and 25% FCC even though we had previosuly taken the offer of 50/50.

That's good news if the rep knew what they were talking about.  I would hope the same would apply for those who have received their partial refunds.

I also cancelled last Friday.  Got refund and FCC.  I went ahead and filled out the form for a refund and submitted it anyway.  Have already had verification they have my request.  I am just going to wait and see and see what I can get.  I was ok with what I got on Friday, but if can get the new deal, I will like that too.

    Pooh

I am in your exact same boat, there website reads this

In addition, Princess will honor this offer for those guests who had made final payment and cancelled their booking on or after February 4, 2020. The future cruise credit can be used on any voyage departing through May 1, 2022."

I am unsure how this will apply if we already received our refund and the FCC for our "cancellation fee".

Nothing.  That was the terms of the deal they took.  Same as those that cancelled before it was offered and got the terms in place then.

If you cancelled and already received a refund, It doesn't seem like option A would be an option.  I guess we will see
