  1. I estimate that Seadream is evaluating every cruise for this winter season if they can find alternative itinaries. Our cruise (dep. Nov. 25 Marigot , arr. Dec. 02 Marigot) was planned to call several ports of islands which are destroyed completely or more than 70%.

As I told you already, we booked through a German agent. And these bookings are done under European and especially German travel and consumer laws. So there may be a difference in handling these bookings. We are really satisfied, that they canceled and gave us full refund of deposit.

But it is really neccessary to give Seadream Headoffice and the Seadream owner some more time to decide how to handle this situation and each winter cruise.

We are sure to be back on bord in the near future.

Now I still wait for a contact to the family owned hotel of Rendevouz Beach Hotel in Anguilla. I hope that they will have a chance to recover and rebuild their hotel on this world class beach.

  2. As I expected, today I got written information through my german travel agency from the German TUI Travel agent. TUI is one of the major sales agents for Seadream in Germany. Our Seadream Cruise out of Marigot end of November this year is canceled due to FORCE MAYEUR. They will refund the deposit completely. They did not offer any other Seadream cruise at this time.

I feel very sad for Seadream and hope that they will recover from this economic crises.

I try to cancel my flight bookings with KLM Airlines to SXM and the hotel bookings and hope for refunds.<|3

  3. Quite new here, but experienced Seadreamer.

At first: Tears in my eyes. Praying for all surviving people in these islands like Anguilla, St. Martin, St. Barth etc. These people are under shock. Even if there is already little help by dutch and british army, it will point out that it takes several months or years to recover.

We are booked for a November cruise from/to St. Martin. As all of you know, winter itinaries of both ships are dealing with these islands. Port of Phillipsburg is nearly destroyed. Marigot port is destroyed and the little comercial port next to Marigot which is used for Seadream will not work.

I feel sure that Seadream is not able to provide these cruises within the comming winter season. I see only a very little chance to change the itinaries to Barbados. I hope that SDYC has an insurance. Otherwise worse things can happen....

My hope is now that there are no more victims in the other islands or FL.
