Thank you.  Now to decide what to have for entree.  Any one had the Waygu?  Is that better than the regular steak on the menu?

I had the waygu last week on the Breeze at the steakhouse. It's good - better than the filet my husband got with his surf and turf! If you're a foodie and have had Japanese Waygu before, it's definitely not the same as a high scoring Japanese Waygu. They're serving an Australian Waygu with (from what I can tell, because I didn't ask to see a marbling score certificate) a lower marbling score. Still, it was tender and flavorful!

I have a Samsung phone and if you go to Settings and scroll to Google services it had a covid exposure that you can turn on.

Oh! I see. I actually have had that enabled on my phone since last year, but just thought there was maybe something different I was missing. 😅 I have my state's "CovidAware" app that pulls from that setting to notify me of any exposures (assuming others also have it enabled) - just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something "cruise specific" for covid exposure notifications.

I am a little nervous about catching covid/spreading covid on vacation; I don't want to miss out on any of the helpful tools! Given OP's experience, I want to be extra cautious!

Bacon has to be one of the worst foods to eat...maybe a stick of butter or rabbit pate could be worse.  Have a couple slices once or twice on your cruise and call it good.  I just shook my head in the past when I would see people basically emptying the steam pan onto their plate.  Good grief.  Carnival is actually doing many a favor by limiting bacon on cruises!

It's not your job to police what people eat. Worry about yourself.

You can take the shot and give the glass back to have it included in Cheers.  We'e done it many times.

We always just tell our server "Hey - we want the shot, but don't want the glass" and they've always made it in just a standard shotglass instead of the souvenir one for us! 🙂

  5. I always wear a dress in the dining room and make my husband wear long pants. I usually opt for a cocktail dress on elegant night and have hubby up his game and wear a tie. But that's mostly for us to feel nice. I don't really mind what others are wearing.

  6. My husband is a big foodie, so we tried the Chef's Table on Conquest back in 2019. I am not sure if the menu has changed since then, but basically everything was fantastic and it was a notch above what you'd get in the other on-board dining options. (seriously there was only one thing that I didn't finish).

There is so much food - so if you do chefs table, come hungry!

Worth it? In our opinion it's a resounding "ABSOLUTELY!" Anything similar on land will run you a couple hundred dollars per person, so the price point is great if you've always wanted to try a multi-course tasting menu.

When we booked it, we tried to look at it as an experience rather than another meal on board. Basically - would you pay $75 or $95 for a shore excursion? Then that kind of answers your question about the cost.

Also... If you don't have cheers, the night you do chef's table is a good time to "get lit", because the wine is bottomless. 😉

Our only regret was my husband missed the night they had crème brulee (his favorite dessert) in the main dining room.

  7. We cruised during Hurricane Humberto in 2019. When we embarked, we received a note from Carnival that said they were monitoring the situation and would keep us up-to-date with any schedule changes as a result of inclement weather. Other than that, though, you'd have no idea we were in the Caribbean during a hurricane. There were no changes in our itinerary due to the hurricane, and there was only one night of rough seas.

That was my long way of saying "once you're on board - you're on vacation. No use worrying. 😉"

Have a great time on your cruise!
