The reason I went and got tested is my daughter is a nurse at St. Jude in their OR and I watch my 2-year-old granddaughter. I also had family in in town from UT right after I cruised and they help care for my 86-year-old parents. I want my family to know if they have been exposed. I had a minor fever yesterday, scratchy throat and a dry, random cough. Better to be safe than sorry. I'm negative for flu, RSV and strep. Just waiting on the Covid results, for 1-3 days.

I too was on the 2/29 sailing on the Summit. I called my PCP yesterday They recommended I be tested since I'm still in the 14-day window. I am being tested today. I live just south of Memphis in MS. Flew back on 3/07/20, from San Juan to Charlotte to Memphis on American Airlines.

I called my doctor's office and left a message with the nurse. He called me back. I told him I had been on the cruise, had some symptoms, cough, low-grade fever, scratchy throat. He said they would test me, as they had just receive the tests at their office. He gave me a time to come in the next day when no other patients would be there. It's a nasal swab. I was swabbed for flu, RSV and COVID 19. I also asked for a strep test. Flu, RSV and strep are all neg. It will be a 1-3 day wait for my COVID results.
While I was in the doctor's office, maybe people were calling to get tested. They were telling them they needed to fit the criteria. One other person came in after me to be tested.
