  1. I have to rebook my cruise this week.  We are trying to decide between the Escape and the Joy.  We've been on the Escape before, and the Getaway - enjoyed them both.  We loved playing pool/billiards and darts and spent WAYYY too much money on the bowling.  I've been trying to find out if the Joy has the bowling alley and darts and pool, but I can't seem to find that anywhere. I don't think we'd spend much on the virtual arcade or the go-karts.  We liked the free things to do like the ropes course, rock climbing and the mini golf on the Getaway and the Escape. We had a cruise scheduled on the Breakaway that got cancelled.  We've been looking at New Years Eve cruises thinking it would be fun! Does anyone have any pros/cons for a NYE cruise?

    Thanks for the help!

  2. Hi All! I'm less than 90 days away from my first cruise! We are cruising NCL and I just received an email yesterday inviting me to bid on an upgraded room. We booked an interior room and it is offering me a balcony room but I have to enter an amount I'm willing to pay... Here is the language from the email. Has anyone ever done this before? Is there a price I should try? What is the average accepted bid? HELP! =]

You are invited to participate in our Upgrade Advantage program, which gives you the opportunity to submit offers to upgrade your existing stateroom.

This exclusive offer is only available on a limited number of staterooms on your cruise.

NCL reserves the right to not accept any offer regardless of offer amount or stateroom availability. Availability of upgrades is limited and is made at the sole discretion of NCL. NCL reserves the right to accept any offer from the time it is submitted to the departure date and time.

Offers are based on double occupancy. Only the first and second passenger on the reservation will be charged.

Once your bid is accepted, the upgrade amount paid is final and non-refundable. The upgrade does not include any additional promotions. Current promotions on the reservation will not be altered.

NCL cannot guarantee a specific cabin number assignment within the upgraded category. Your cabin number will depend on space availability and cannot be changed.

  4. How do you guys get from the airport in Orlando to Port Canaveral? We are looking at booking our first cruise and trying to decide if we should book out of Miami or Port Canaveral. It seems the better cruise options are out of PC, but we are stumped on an affordable way to get from MCO (Orlando Airport) to PC. Is there a bus (Norwegian Cruise Lines) like Disney has? Is there a vanpool? Uber? What does everyone else do?!

    THANKS!

  6. Hello All! I am a first time cruiser. I've never been on a cruise before but recently received a comped cruise from my local casino (also just got another one from a different casino). My certificate is for a 7 day cruise in an inside stateroom. Nothing spectacular from what I gather. My question is this: WHAT DO I DO NEXT!?! LoL.

My husband and I have been looking at the different cruises and cruise options online. We haven't called to book the cruise yet but have to do so within the next two weeks. What do I need to know before I book it? We've been talking about upgrading to a balcony room. Is it worth it? We've looked at adding the beverage package but from what I can tell it would add $1,400 to the cost of the "free" cruise. I'd like to cruise for under $1,000. Is this realistic? Do we need the beverage package? I've read that you can get free drinks in the casino? Do you have to qualify based on play for that? What things are worth upgrading and adding on and what things do they just get you on? Are there things that I can get them to offer a better price on, or is the price they quote me just the price I have to pay if I want it? I'd love any tips, tricks and advice you can provide! I have to book by October 19 and sail by August 18, 2018. We are looking at an April sail date but if we can get better upgrades or offers by sailing during a different time we'd gladly do that as well. We don't have any children so we have a flexible schedule.

    THANKS!
