  1. Just got back from a cruise on the Carnival Vista. We ate at the Cucina del Capitano. For dessert we had the Crostata di mele CoppettaSlow-Baked Italian Apple Tart Topped withHazelnut Streusel. Basically, the apple tart.

    On top of the ice cream was a type of caramelized brittle. Looked to be all sugar and possibly brown sugar at that. But the brittle tasted exactly like a toasted marshmallow.

    Does anyone have a recipe for a brittle/caramelized glaze sticks that was placed on the ice cream portion?
